My new Smart Meter is in the kitchen (I am bedbound atm) - I'd thought that the Smart Meter installer had reset the room thermostat. So I got the blanket boys to check and it's correct; they have no idea about the boiler. Ironically it's an old, simple device but the blanket boys are used to modern boilers; so I am now waiting for my friend to get showered, dressed and round here. He had a house with the same type of boiler...

I am in Amsterdam. I love it here.
Although …
The pm and I went for a delicious meal yesterday. It was delicious. We had some drinks in advance and a pre-meal aperatif, then paired wines with every course. Boodiful.
The problem was that, at the end we managed to stumble into an argument about getting home - about how to get to the hotel. Ah man … we just fell out.
Anyway we got back to the hotel.
I don’t think I’m so disagreeable. Maybe I am? It’s not the first time I’ve fallen out with someone after getting drunk. Hmmm. Maybe my pre-frontal cortex is very diplomatic.
To be fair the pm and I usually do fall out on matters of logistics. On holiday…
Ah man.
All good otherwise though….

Also if you want to get very stoned, see a show, maybe wander the red light district for a bit, late at night, your PM night not be the best choice of company for Amsterdam.
Maybe go with someone who is more likely to be relaxed about chatting with pimps and dealers.

Better than I had hoped tbh. It's the bloody boiler - Smart Meter man left it to reignite on it's own (I think) when he turned the gas back on. A modern boiler probably does that on its own, but my 25y beast needs manual restarts after 10-15m; 18h it's engineer time! |
