The child is going for a play after school on Fri with a class mate. She's now staying for dinner and they're having pizza. Which I was intending to have on Sat with her while the pm is out with friends.
I never get to order pizza from the place I was going to. Balls to it.
Also the chew vendor wasn't available. Double balls.

I saw my Mother's locality on the TV News. Flooding apparently, so I gave her a call. All OK atm, Marines & pumping stations on duty as per 2014.
The Scooby will be prepped tomorrow for duty, if required.
(I did say to Mum that I have the fuel to get there - dont know about getting back. 'Oh, don't worry about' she said.)
I won't be coming back, will I?

A neighbour popped over for a chat yesterday. He decided to fill me in on the armed home invasion he and his family suffered before Christmas.
A man knocked on their door, said he was a courier. As soon as my neighbour opened the door to them, he was smashed in the face. The “courier” and another fellow pushed passed him, held a gun to his wife and adult son, and asked them to “open the safe”… which they don’t have.
Not sure what they did take, but on the way out, they gave my neighbour a good kicking.
He showed me photos of his face from after the beating, really messy. Bloody teeth and bruised jaw and eyes.

It’s… a worry. When the police canvassed the area for information, I asked the copper if we should be concerned (I didn’t have any details at the time other than a car had sped off): his answer was no, it was an isolated incident. That did seem like a typical police response, mind. |

It looked more different in real life. Etheridge's kit was more a fluorescent yellow, while Forest Green's kit was greener, as you'd expect.
They were pretty close in colour though. Maybe we weren't expecting Forest Green to wear green.
