I met a friend after work. The friend who I might have mentioned who lives in New Zealand. He was in London so we met for drinks. It was good but now I have a tired, dehydrated feeling sitting in the train back to Brighton. I’m hoping the ‘Belgian Chips’ vendor is open, by Brighton station. But why would it be? past one. Maybe some hard working kebab provider will be open - ready to provide something fried, with garlic sauce. Hard to say. I regret eating just nuts and crisps, a little bit. I wish I had a refreshing carton of Um Bongo.

I just got back.
Belgian Chips was closed.
The light at Albion Kebab was on but it was a mocking light, illuminating only bin bags by the front door, freshly swabbed surfaces and a man about to leave. Thankfully 24hr Budgens was open.

I believe I've told the story before, but anyway.
Many years ago I got a new phone. It was a Sony Ericsson one and a guy I knew at the time - an, err, pharmaceuticals salesman had the same phone. He had changed business number and late one night at a party had MMSd me his vcf card. Heady times the early naughties.
So a couple of days later I'm on the bus to the PM's flat. My phone rings. It's him texting. Unknown to me, a feature of these phones was that you could include a ringtone/notification with the vcf and set it on the person's phone if they had the same model. He had chosen the Pussy speech from Dusk to Dawn. Blaring out my new phone that I couldn't work properly yet and couldn't get switched off. Marvellous.

Hello. On the trains.
TV. Some Sky Arts Music programme about sampling. The Chuck D show about hip hop starts on the 25th I believe on BBC.
I've watched about 20 mins of TLOU. Will watch more on train 2 in a wee while.
Games. Restarted Horizon Zero Dawn. Will go all the way this time. My ps+ super duper runs out in a week so going to play games I bought like HZD, Cyberpunk and a few others before renewing. I'm all about the single player experience these days daddio.

I discovered that the 'normal' time for the blanket boys is actually 20m late and they have never been here then; and this morning there is a lot of stuff to get done, and two inexperienced carers to do it... I've checked the AA traffic and Arsebury is gridlocked... |

Games - Marvel Snap. I was on an enormous uninterrupted winning streak since I started playing, before discovering the game has bots. I'm pretty sure all the people I beat were real. They're real to me damn it Terry. I also lost off a few games, probably to cheating bots. Or lag.
TV - Last of Us. 1 hour 20 minutes. I'm not watching that, it's practically a film.
