Hullo Contrary to Chumbles’s representation of my diet I made a risotto last night: A mushroom risotto. It was ok. Not … fantastic. I was a bit disappointed. I used oloroso sherry instead of vermouth or wine. I thought it would impart a nutty flavour. It lacked the wine tang. |

MrTiddles I hope you don’t mind be being so bold and up-front but I’m beginning to think Tootsie and the Lad might be unreconciled parts of your own personality. An unpleasant thought, Dr Bones. Not the case, however, I'd like to have the confidence to walk about wearing just a pair of orange day-glo shorts in the Winter. I mean, I wouldn't do it, but to have the ability to do it - that's the thing.
Toots is like a particularly thick pet who keeps treading on it's own faeces. One that you pat on the head with a 'never mind - you'll get the hang of it one day'.

An ALF toy!
My sister had two of these. One of them said things when you pressed a button in his stomach. He said things like ‘I’m a people alien’ and other lines taken from the TV show.
When the battery ran down his voice ran down too, becoming long, slow and demonic. Not sure what tech they were using.
