Google Chrome seems to have re-sized the icons in my Bookmarks bar. Now the last three have disappeared over the end of it. This is intolerable. I'm going to slaughter a few firstborn males, and then go home and grump about it for the rest of my life.

Hang on, I've renamed a couple with shorter names, and deleted one I don't need. It's fine now, I don't know why everyone was being so melodramatic about it.

Ardbeg is excellent whisky. Serious stuff though. You really need to be wearing a big woollen jumper ana beanie hat. Needs some gravitas

There are two problems with Islay whisky. Ardbeg, Laphroaig and Lagavuillin in particular, but also Caol Ila, Bowmore and Bunnahabhain to a lesser extent.
That is they are strong tasting to the extent they can make most other whiskies seem a bit dull.
The other is the taste in your mouth the next day if you drink them a little too enthusiastically.

I finished The Triumph Of Christendom by Peter Heather. 600 chunky pages. Some nice pics as well
I thought he was stronger on the late Roman bits rather than the later stuff. He 's probably pretty strong on the later stuff as well, but he is tops on the late Roman stuff. So far as I can tell. As always with history the devil is in the detail. I do not have sufficient command of the detail to dispute his conclusions.
It was pretty good though and a strong work out in lifting and carrying it as well.

I have ordered the fifth Jonathan Sumption Hundred Years War book. Out in August. Looking forward to it
however i am now going to read some short trashy sci-fi and thrillers as a palate cleanser.

For various reasons I won't go into I'm unable to purchase chews at the moment.
Booze it is then.
I can get plenty standard issue green of various types - but I've not smoked in years and don't wish to start again as:
A) its a bad business® B) can't/won't in the house Looking at the possibility of cooking up a batch of coconut oil infused err, oil and making my own. Couldn't at home though due to smell and will need to be done at my pals. There has been much research done on the matter.
So you can legally go buy a litre of 40 proof rum and drink yourself into a stupor every night. But you can't legally buy some gummies with 20mg THC in them and relax on the couch. balls to it.

Skinny PeteYou can get a sort of device that, I think, heats up the … commestibles to below the point of burning, so you get the advantages of smoking it without actually smoking it: www.pax.com/products/pax-2?variant=39817942564975Pax 2. Ask for it by name.

You are correct lazybones. Though it still smells. And Skinny Pete may not wish any neighbors, wife, husband, children to know he's puffin weed. Plus the jury is out on whether Vaping weed is ok or not. I've not clicked the link - that's the vape with the app isn't it?

It wasn’t vaping - just a sort of super-heating. It was very discrete.

Sadly I think Skinny Pete’s on a one way journey. Like a Hubert Selby Jr. novel in slow motion.
