Morning Back to work. Dang. Dead Space. A game breaking bug scuppered my hopes of completing chapter 3. Well, not game breaking, but annoying enough to make me turn it off. Enter room, kill wave of monsters. Trigger event. Try and kill mental second wave of monsters so you can then ignite engine sequence. Three failed attempts at second wave saw me torn to bloody shreds. Puts on thinking cap. Before triggering event, scouts area and sets up defence area and surrounds with explosive canisters and stashes projectiles. Triggers event. No second wave. Hmmm. Jumps in and out of safe area. No second wave. Oh well, maybe after three failed attempts the game has let me skip through in pity. Walks over to terminal to start ignition sequence. No. Walks around for half an hour. Nothing. Game still wants second wave to be slaughtered. Turns off game. Cool story. I can't be bothered to read all that. But feel I should point out the player being shit isn't actually the same as a bug. |

If you is in Zummerzet, Devon or Cornwall it's a bit insensitive and behind the times but probably not deliberately racist, unless there is supporting evidence.
So yes it is both sexist and racist.
Shenguin is not so much the black sheep of the family, more the blacked-up sheep.

Temperature alarm went off on the small chest freezer in the garage this morning. Diagnosis: it's fucked. Managed to get 90% of what was in there into the big freezer in the kitchen, but as a result there's an odd selection of what wouldnt fit for lunch today - PM's having vegetable dahl and quorn sausages, I'm just waiting for my jumbo cod fillet to cook, so I can slap it on the granary baguette I've just defrosted. Lost of unlabelled portions of mystery food straight into the bin.
Played Half life episode 2 last night until I got to a difficult bit. Tried it again today, still difficult. Experience tells me I'll try it one more time and never go back to it again
Downloaded goldeneye off gamepass, will probably have a dig into that later

I looked up ‘passport photos’ on my work computer and got shown a location on a map: Passport Photo Centre. It was first and foremost a newsagent and souvenir shop with a vast array of jazz mags. The man behind the counter invited me round and pulled down a blind. Then I stood beside some spirit miniatures and he took some pictures.
I don’t know if this is the energy I want to take with me on every trip abroad.

I wear glasses, and any reflected lens flash means instant rejection. After trying and failing about 8 times to get a no-reflection result i though sod-it, and just took them off, and gurned Magoo-like at the photographer.
That's my excuse and i'm stuck with it for about the next 7 years.
