I too am getting forum ads. I'm also getting ads for something else. I'm wondering if Mrs Crank has been using my phone to drop heavy hints.
As for comedy ringtones..
Lots of years ago when I was feeling a bit confused late one night I set my incoming messages from a friend tone to the "pussy" speech from dusk till dawn. All hilarious until he emailed me when I was on the bus and couldn't switch it off as it was a new phone.

FRANK has ruined Pokemon forever.
Since I had leftover chili for lunch I followed Whodini's (I think) description of his Pikachu putting cheese on top of the chili. What a clever Pikachu.
I just checked and unless I'm mistaken the whole thread has been deleted. What heartless person would wish to erase the irresistable combination of leftover chili, cheese and Pikachu?

BigG: In order to have left over chilli you have to make massive amounts of it. the concept is strange, I know, but it can be done.
Destry: I was jealous of your curry, but mostly because for some reason I read 'garlic' as 'giraffe'. I was very impressed for a second.
Ringtones: For texts I have James Brown going "Eeeeeeeeeeoooooow". For emails I have a tokay gekko mating call. For calls I have the soprano solo from the last movement of Beethoven's 9th.

I have my phone permanently on silent. If I do turn it off silent mode then I am treated to bog standard tones that come with the phone. Because I am normal.

Who changes their ringtone anymore? This isn't the fucking 90s. People did it then (mainly CHAVS) as a sign of social standing. Because you could only get it from the back of newspapers, for at least 99p a tone. This signalled two things: you had some level of intelligence and cash money. The real cool kids had backgrounds too, pixellated monstrosities. |
