We’re back in the flat. The Bosch equipment we thought we were getting is now AEG. The telephone / internet socket has been removed completely. The plug sockets are wrong…

I think AEG may be an upgrade on Bosch.
Maybe not in performance, but it's a bit more niche.
It's says I am not one of the undifferentiated middle class masses, I am genuinely a person of taste and discernment who spends slightly too much on kitchen appliances*.
Disclosure: I bought an AEG washer-drier. I was impressed with its eco credentials. It was slightly more expensive than a Bosch.

Is AEG really an upgrade on Bosch? I thought AEG was just a re-badged Electrolux. Shenguin knows. To be honest I haven’t had much input into this refurb. I didn’t think we should move out or have as much done or do it as soon as we did … But - ok - it’s the pm’s flat. I’m a member of the precariat in this situation. I haven’t communicated with the people doing it … I’ve absconded responsibility and now I’m like a floundering waterlogged piece of wood, sinking in a river … |

We have people coming at 8.00 to take rubbish away… Then other people at 9.00 to carry on with work …
We can’t used the shower because it hasn’t been sealed. We can use the bath but the water isn’t hot.
Moan moan.
The light switch to the bathroom flickers and fuzzes and sometimes the light doesn’t come on.
The place just isn’t finished really. But it’s the stuff that is finished and is wrong that’s the problem. Why would they remove the internet and phone socket? Insane.
In the absence of a kettle or pans I’ll have to have a Red Bull adjacent energy drink.
