I have to pull together some bollocks for my performance review with my line manager this morning. I don't give a shit. Perhaps if my salary was performance related I'd give a shit. I shall start with the patented Lazybones handshake to signal my apathy to the process.

TV. We watched half of Sharper on Apple TV. I then finished the latest TLOU episode.
OttM. I forgot to tap off the bus due to a closed bus stop and trying to get the driver to let me off somewhere near the station so I'd make my train. By default I've overpaid by £0.85. Cunts.

On the way to work. Had a banana for breakfast but the kettle is in a box somewhere so I’m extremely under-caffeinated.
A lot of the flat has been done now. Looks nice. It’s just that everything is in boxes.

Oh yeah - there was a strange dug up piece of earth on the outside edge of our back wall. Odd. Like someone had pulled up a brick to reveal the rich loam beneath.
I’m assuming it was done by someone in ‘the drugs game’ for a place to discretely hide ‘the goods’ for pick-up.
Not sure. Sounds like that would be a ludicrous thing to do. Yeah - I’ve no idea why it’s there. For a fraction of a second I speculated that it could be some way to tunnel into our garden. I’m not sure what though. A mini-army of crusader knights? An industrious urban mole?

I prefer the crusader knights, likely using the top of the wall for a jousting tourney (the last two falling off). |

Hello,
Yesterday I had to step in at short notice to deliver some training for a colleague who was off sick. Two hours notice to get to an office an hour away and talk to a room full of people about something I hadn't prepared for.
When I got there there were only two people in the room, plus about a dozen people who had joined on Teams. As I'd planned to put some stuff up on the screen I instead had to decamp to one of the soundproof cubicles in the office. This was fine, until I realised that three of the people on the call were actually sat right outside in the office huddled round a laptop. This meant that on their camera I could see myself in the background, and also everything I was saying was basically being broadcast into an open plan office. One of our directors was also sat nearby, and so was listening in on the whole thing.
Weirdly everyone seemed quite impressed with it all though, including the director who said to me afterwards that it was really good. I can only conclude that either I am a genius, or they are all idiots. Or maybe all three
