I think it's classy of her to refuse to say what was actually in the message she described as threatening; it's a private messsage and it would be a breach of confidentiality to expand on its contents.

The best uni parties were always at resit week.
If I learned anything from my failed further education...
It taught me how little you actually need to do in order to get a 2.2 in a social science degree.
And I couldn't even manage that, the druggy* feckless eejit.
*Cheap lager I mean obviously. Nothing stronger.

It taught me how little you actually need to do in order to get a 2.2 in a social science degree. And I couldn't even manage that, the druggy* feckless eejit. *Cheap lager I mean obviously. Nothing stronger. In my third year I had 3 lectures and 3 seminars per week. On average I attended 1 each. The secret was to learn a small proportion extremely well (which I found easy as I have an almost photographic memory), just enough to write 2 good essays and pick out 2 out of 8 questions on an exam paper (we got to pick which questions to answer!). I smoked heroic amounts of weed, got my arse out of bed at 2 p.m. mostly and got a 2.1. |

My first year exams fucked my chances of getting anything other than a 2:2. I survived that year on a poverty stricken diet of stolen apples, a loaf of bread, getting a decent lunch at my parents' once a fortnight, and a pint or two of beer every second or third day. My state portion of my grant didn't arrive until the following August. £6.10 from the folks covered £4.80 of the worst, cheapest bedsit. I ended up with a couple of horrible abscesses. Staying alive was a higher priority than passing exams.
I aced the resits and the rest of my exams, I still piled all my essay writing before each term's exams, but I learn better like that, and my dissertation (I'm told) would have got a first. There's still a scar on my arm...

I eventually got through to Vascular surgery and the date for the first angioplasty has been changed from 27th March to 23rd March - Assessment over the phone a while before. The words pissup and brewery come to mind... Something to read while I'm in... |

I did a philosophy degree. Well I took a BA (Hons) Philosophy programme. I misunderstood, really, what it was all about. I thought what they wanted was my philosophy. A bad business. I was also taking drugs - like a mug.
I should have read the university regulations. I misunderstood my rights, in terms of resits, and got hauled up in front of an academic progress panel.
I was a really bad student.

I did a proper degree in sums because I'm not a sinister war hermit or a hippy who does colouring in.
Games, Gran Turismo 7 has arrived, but I haven't tried it yet in VR. Cool story.
OTTM, eldest doing her first DofE hike tomorrow. Navigation using compass and map, no phone allowed. What could possibly go wrong? I'm in charge of rations so need to make suitable pack up. The weather forecast looks very cold, brrrrr indeed.
OOTTM, I think I have a 'Touch of the Terrys', lower echelon vim.
