I went round to see my folks earlier. My dad pointed out the two very bright stars in the night sky, and explained that despite the mainstream media claiming they are Venus and Jupiter, are in reality either UFOs or Chinese spy balloons. When I left he was sat out in the back garden with his binoculars, keeping them under close observation

Hopefully sorted the TLOU2 glitch by restarting the chapter from the main menu. A touching rendition of Take on Me there.
The PM's niece did her DoE hike last summer when it was 40° or whatever the silly weather was. Started at 5am and stopped about 9. Camped. Set off again about 7pm. Madness.

I want to believe Faceless Snr is on to something, but the evidence suggests otherwise.

Hi Crank
Tomorrow is just her first DofE thing. She's Year 9 so it's just a hike in the countryside with a compass, map and packed lunch. The first camping trip is towards summer. I think the gruelling stuff is when they're a bit older.
My dad was a teacher (secondary and a-level), retired now, and when I first mentioned it to him that she was interested in it he encouraged it, said he could tell the difference in the maturity of the kids who'd seen it through to the end. We'll see though, she has a tendency for being flakey.
The famous (in our house) voluntary work incident was a cracker. It's one of the requirements. I went to a local charity shop and asked about volunteers, got the forms to fill in etc, they wanted someone Sundays for 4/5 hours.
"how much do I get paid"
How we (the PM and I) 'mega lolzed' The forms are still not filled in. The yoot of today etc...

Sexy 3D robodinosaurs are pretty hot. That is the visior made my face sweaty.
It's very pretty and very 3D. The climbing felt like I was pulling the earth down to my level rather than climbing. Slightly odd. I did duck a couple of times.
Also GT7. I used a slightly crap car in the Sunday cup. Apart from the lack of sunglasses and phone charger on the passenger seat it looked very much like my car. Four stars. If you could put rubbish in the car iit would be six stars out of five.
I still can't qualify at Laguna Seca, but the racing car experience was excellent. Apart from me moving in my seat when I crashed.
So slightly sweaty and takes a minute or to adjust back to normal. I don't think I could play for hours at a time, but it is excellent and fantastically immersive.

You want the oculus for that, not the PS5 one. What? A quick hand job on that long Laguna Seca straight?

Also when he looked at the moon through the binoculars he could see some close up detail, whereas the 'planets' still looked really small Case closed
