Did someone ask for a review of pork scratchings a while back. I've just eaten a packet of Boss Hoggs Black Country with a pint of Worthington. Packet says they are from Blackpool. Tast porky and salty with both soft and hard crunchy texture. 4* . If I'm confused and no one did ask for pork crackling review please ignore this post. I did and thank you.

I was going to respond with a review of the array of pork scratchings available at The Bull and Bladder in Cradley Heath, but I'm vegetarian, and I thought Sheep2 would probably beat me to it anyway. I'll add another tally to the Disappointed by Sheep2 column.

For Shenguin, I may have a few tears but I put that down to the alcohol. Spoilers for the all of Buffy. Thank you. I'm in work, so I can't watch it yet, as I need to keep my attention focussed on the deep fat fryers.

hi
I just went it for lunch. A part of this was spent in a branch of Robert Dyas, measuring the base of a frying pan with an app on my telephone …
Then I went to another, local, hardware store and bought a stainless steel sink strainer.
Then … I went to a branch of Richer Sounds …
I nodded thoughtfully at some speakers and had a peek in the demo room. Had some conversation.
Not much to say. I ate a brie, tomato and basil baguette after that and came back to work …

Did you buy some speakers that won't work with your new induction hob?

Ok ...so I've moved over the road and enjoying pint of Cwrw Madog. Midlands Snacks Traditional Pork Scratchings. Based in Corby Northamptonshire. Would recommend these. Less salty, slightly less crunch but more likely to keep any fillings. But overall a good product. And the pub dog has shown enthusiasm in eating them. Lukily I'm flexitarian so able to review these products.

I have a pair of Mordaunt Short M20 speakers. They're good compact bookshelf speakers, but I don't think they come in stylish Dane colour. The Wharfdale Diamond 9.1 is perhaps the most obvious answer, they definitely used to come in a variety of finishes. Unless you're looking for something more expensive.

Before you boot me out of the Audiophile Bullying Clique, I also have a pair of Eltax floorstanding speakers, and I sometimes refer to them as monitors while speaking to people who call them speakers.

I need to get my Cambridge Audio amp/cd/speakers out the attic and see if they still work.
Then have a mysterious burglary where all they took was all the Playmobil/Barbie dolls/Lego friends kits and the shelving they live in. Mysterious!

I’m taking my Cambridge CD player to Richer Sounds to be fixed. It keeps jumping. Usually at the end of a CD, when I’m teetering on the edge of consciousness.

What's your Amp Lazybones? That's a lot of money for speakers.

To be honest, my current speakers have felt like a bit of a compromise since I lost a clip from the back and replaced it with a piece of stripped speaker cable.

I'll add another tally to the Disappointed by Sheep2 column. I've only tried the ones in the cheapo plastic bag. The actual brands not so much. They actually have too many brands. You can't possibly try them all in one visit. It would belike trying every pit of Bathams they have. While Scratchings are obviously a gourmet food if they are crispy and well salted and don't have too many hairs on them any brand will do. I had some posh garlic ones, but they were rubbish. The most important ingredient is actually several pints. The effect of this is to ensure that any type of Scratchings is fine

What's your Amp Lazybones? That's a lot of money for speakers. It’s a Marantz PM7001. Maybe it is a lot. I’ve apportioned the money though. I could do with releasing the money locked in that oversized pan.

More Deadspace2 last night, it's getting very tight in there. Imagine that you have a half decent Pulse rifle and a room full of nastys. 'Ha ha ha' you might think as you open up with a sustained and accurate burst. 'No no no' you mutter as your rounds ping off the buggers. Armour plated Necromorphs, oof.
The highlight for me was when I attempted to do a 180 and leg it, but at 90 degrees accidently fired an M203 round into a wall in front of me. I was not impressed with the resulting mess. Luckily, Shenguin was there with his mop and bucket.

I'd never even considered the possibility that any chatterboxer* might not be able to change a lightbulb before. * excluding Kane and GWX. Edit: And Chumbles for health and balance reasons. I presume before he was ill he would have been mostly competent at changing bulbs. You betcha; up until June last year I could still do minor DIY stuff.

Before you boot me out of the Audiophile Bullying Clique, I also have a pair of Eltax floorstanding speakers, and I sometimes refer to them as monitors while speaking to people who call them speakers. The minimum requirement is to have owned at least one piece of Marantz equipment and a bad attitude towards other people. A draw full of spare wires with connections you can no longer use is a bonus.

I've been stupidly busy; my loft overflow pipe has, apparently, been running for a couple of weeks and finding an available plumber threw yet more stuff to do into my packed day. I'm currently awaiting the guy's visit. I have yet more calls to make so I hope that Greg isn't too long. Looks like the North Welsh are revolting...
