Denon and Marantz are two faces of the same company. They also own Bowers & Wilkins.

Are we still on speakers ? I have Monitor Audio Bronze 2 on speaker stands. I put them on a shelf at one time but the tone changed so I put them back on stands. However I'm fairly deaf and wear hearing aids so wouldn't listen to what I say.

Can I make a terrible confession? You can ban me from the forum if you want, but I can't carry the internalised guilt any longer.
When I last upgraded my Toslink cable, I lost the dust caps, and now keep the old cable with the ends in a sandwich bag, in the drawer of cables.

As it's a digital cable is there any point in upgrading? It's all ones and zeros on fibre optic? I'm assuming one you pay money for is probably better than one given free with a cd player but I dunno.
One of the dj's at a club I used to frequent works in high end hifi shop and all their interconnects etc are worth more than my house. Ridiculous amounts on cables. Never mind the urei rotary mixer and stuff.

Totes agree tho', high end interconnects and other cables are a fucking piss take out of rich twunts. Fuck the exploitative audio companies. But also fuck the rich twunts. <whatevs shrug emoji>

I expect some high end interconnects do affect the sound. Whether that is a good thing is a matter of opinion.
When I have the multiple stereo and home cinema set ups I will have phat overpriced cables. Because I will be able to afford them.
Things like £14k MC cartridges and £10k for 1m interconnects. Big monobloc amplifiers and speakers costing more than Scotland.
Will it sound good? No. As I will still have terrible taste in music. However I will he able to drown out all the complaints.

I once bought some overpriced cables. And I tried bi-wiring. I could not tell the difference …

I’m going back to the department store to buy another pan. I should really wait until tomorrow so I can take the previous pan. But tonight we’re panless.
When I was in this department store yesterday a man came into the pan section and began to walk around, occasionally shouting. When I left work today I heard a similar shout, in the distance. What were the odds? The same guy - walking around near my work.
I realise this makes me sound like I’m mentally ill, but genuinely this man was there.

If that sounds like I’m being down on mental illness, I’m not.
Maybe … mental illness … is just a sane response to an insane situation.
Yeah?

Evening all!
DIYblog: I hung wallpaper for the first time yesterday. Amazingly, it’s still on the wall. What we did discover while hanging it was that the chimney breast had a slight tilt to it - so there’s this little strip of paper that starts off around 3cm at the bottom then tapers to 1cm at the top. Awkward.
TVblog: onto the fifth series of DS9 now. Things are kicking off! As they are in Andor too - four episodes into that now.

I bought some sweet phone charging cables off of Amazon today. £6.99 for 2, real high end gear.

Work out the widths of the paper from the middle of the breast, and then cut so both sides are towards the middle of the laughing about the word breast.

Finished Deadspace2. I had to turn it down to filthy casual level for the end fight as I only had a half-eaten pack of Toffos left to throw at them. Still, a win's a win. Now for New game+
