Morning
Planet Earth in concert was amazing! Apart from the racer snakes. I didn’t need to see that on a big screen. Fantastic music, brilliant films, superb from beginning to end. And I got to see the top of Hans Zimmers head.
The drive back was not so good, I didn’t get home until nearly 3am. I needcoffee. So much coffee.

Went there for Distant Worlds last year. Morning all. Lovely sunny day here in the south.

Despite getting horribly lost on a wreck at the bottom of Tor Bay, being savagely attacked by a deadly giant seal and drinking far too much Tribute, I’m still alive. That pretty much sums up my weekend.
Anyone heard from Scam? Did he survive?

The drive back was not so good, I didn’t get home until nearly 3am. I needcoffee. So much coffee. How many cars do you go through in an average year? You still seem to be a 3 hour drive from everywhere. Morning all! Pretty standard weekend for me. Went to see Infinity War again. This time in '4DX'. Was just as good second time around. Although I was sat next to the most annoying person, ever (on the opposite side to the better half, that is). When the water effects came, he put his hood up, when the smell effects came, he covered his nose, when we were getting prodded in the back, he sat forward and when the backs of our legs were being whipped, he lifted his up. What is the point of paying an extra £5 to go to '4DX' if you're going to avoid all the things that make it different? Fucking idiot. Oh, and he spent half the film checking his phone. Prick. Games wise, I holed myself up in the 'office' for a long session of WoW on Sunday as we had a house full of women for a 'make up trial'. That's my excuse anyway.

Lovely Monday morning in Brum, too. These words do not go easily together.
TV: finished Mad Men season 6, started season 7. The final scene of 6 is now my favourite. "This is where I grew up", cue the harpsichord intro of Judy Collins singing Both Sides Now. Perfection. The use of music is just stellar (yes, amipal, they even find a use for the Beatles!), and so far my favourite had been the "Babylon" scene from a while back - naturally, as a Babylonian. I just wish that they would let the whole song play out, although that might be difficult for Beethoven's 9th.
Games: last night I took the radical step to revert to a save file from several days ago. I had terrible trouble with the "Blood on the Ice" quest in Windhelm as Calixto's Curiosity Shop never opened for me. I tried all sorts of workarounds suggested on the internet, but I was completely stuck.
Loaded the old save file from before I entered the city, made a beeline for the shop, it's open, I'm happy. I'm moving very carefully and will try and get that quest out of the way first.

(I haven’t seen Infinity Wars but assume it has lots if hardcore, super-sex in it).

So how about this porn pass thing? I suppose we will have to ban VPNs, proxies, HTTPS, and encrypted chat as well just to be safe. No way that could go wrong.

I remember on the Xbox version there is a bug where you cannot complete the Mages College quest as a machine you have to use near the end does not work properly. I could only complete that quest on the PC version. Hopefully it works on the Switch.

I hope the porn pass comes in a plastic bag with most of the content obscured. Oh. And you have to get it from the top shelf.
When I was growing up there was a kid our age who had that thing Duncan Goodhew had. He was bald at 14 and the ladies in John Menzies were too embarrassed to stop him reading the porn mags in the shop. If we took one down they'd be right over calling us mucky bastards making us put them back.

There was a big lad in our class who got to know a newsagent well enough from buying cigs alcohol and jazz magazines that he was invited into the back to see the European publications.
Anyway - games! Just one, God of War. I don’t really think it’s that good. I read it has a slow three hour start. I got past that and to some bit with winged bug lads.. just to read that apparently that’s bit is a bit of a slog and overstays it’s welcome. I think I must be five or six hours in... I guess it gets good around the end?

I could only complete that quest on the PC version. Hopefully it works on the Switch. Fingers crossed, but it's clear that they've put zero work into fixing shit like that. They only had six years, after all. Oh, and I'm also slightly perturbed by the landlady of Candlehearth Hall warning me not to "get fresh with Susanna" when Susanna is busy lying in the morgue. Lady, I'm not into that kind of thing.

It is ok to have a different opinion to that which you've read. Maybe, you just don't like it at all? scubar , they'll keep giving you replacement cars to avoid hitting mileage thresholds and having to pay more on their hire contracts. Also, I'm assuming by 'this year' you mean the financial year? @socky, during the gratuitous sex scenes he began furiously munching corn flakes whilst looking at pictures of John Prescott in a bikini.

Tent Hen, I spent last week drinking and not working. It was good. I basically spent a week without looking at the internet at all. Weird.
Rolling, Rime really is the best sad pixels. Takes story telling and intelligent pathos to a new level in games. Amazing.
I'm quite hungry now.
