Just back from my holiday haircut at the barbers. We're off to the seaside next Monday for a week. Hope it warms up as it bloody freezing out there.
OTTM, work is going to be slow for a few weeks so ive hooked up the SteamDeck to the spare port on my monitor (so I can still check on emails) and am going to play The Evil Within 2. I'm only about an hour in. I'm even going to try and use my PS5 controller like some kind of tech wizard.

I'm wondering if a "glass half full" kinda person would look at 50/50 as good odds and not worry. Where as a "glass half empty" type might think they won't be here next week.

About 20 mins ago I came down to find a fucking magpie in the kitchen There's been an injured one flapping about the neighbour's garden for a few days... The cat's apparently brought it in for the kitten to play with. He was chasing it round the kitchen sniffing it. They're fucking massive up close, I don't know how he got it through the catflap Can't fly, wing fucked, leg fucked, eye missing. I'm waiting at the vet now to have it euthanized - I offed that frog last year but I haven't got the stomach to kill a bird Oh, and magpie shit absolutely stinks I bet you get charged by the vet for the Magpie. Then you'll feel like stamping on something. |

I have made a beef casserole in the slow cooker and am drinking cider. Does that count?
Might make cheese scones later, as that never ends up with a messy kitchen…..

A couple of weeks ago I had a text from my GP Surgery asking me to submit a BP reading which I duly did. Shortly afterwards I had a phone call saying my reading was a little high, and asking me to submit readings twice daily for seven days, which I did.
Today I had a text from the surgery asking me to book an appointment for a BP reading. What the fuck. Do they not believe the fifteen readings I already submitted?
