Staying in a 17th century Manor house in west Wales (Barmouth) for a weekend away without the kids, for a friend's 50th. 15 of us
There's a pool table and table tennis, up all night last night fuelled by a powerful combination of rum, stimulants and blue chews. I only know half the folk here and I'm not normally good with strangers, but I was fucked enough to be at ease last night. Sociable.
Walked to the beach about midday after a couple of hours kip - had a paddle and then went to a flat roofed pub on a caravan park and drank the hangover away for a few hours 'watching' the coronation, and spent £20 playing the time crisis arcade machine. Lots of blue rinse grannies dressed in red white & blue, and neck oil on tap. Weird vibe but good fun
Big curry supper tonight, everyone brought a dish, my air fryer onion bhajis went down well
I've not drunk and caned this much for 10 years, there will be a reckoning tomorrow
