We had a power failure yesterday evening across the whole of the town and the next town. According to local Facebook mobile phone coverage was lost as well. Reading the comments some people genuinely thought it was the beginning of the end.

Gaming.
Battletech career mode is addictive. I have bought Shadow of War, loved Shadow of Mordor but I just don't fancy much of recruiting orcs.
TV.
The 'Edible complex' episode of Yellowjackets has a harrowing ending. I'm still disturbed by it.
Books.
Empire of the Summer Moon - all about the Commanche and other tribes. Equally as harrowing in places. Top tip if you ever time travel - don't go to Texas.

A mostly-home-day for the bank holiday yesterday. Bits and bobs accomplished. We also went to a family-fun-day at the lido, where my son made an orb* at the craft tent.
