Morning all,
Eurovision semi final was underwhelming. The Netherlands was a great act but way to subtle, Azerbaijan sent out Merry and Pippin and they needed Loreen to inject some needed stage presence.
Finland was naff, Israel was another J-Lo routine and Ireland? Sheesh.
Czech seemed to have something about it but it was thin gruel. Hoping the second semi has something which isn't passive busking or low calorie shock acts.

It worked best when the two main characters were actively raging against the other. |

Succession
I watched another couple of episodes. I am nearly at the end of series 2.
I'm still not convinced that it is any good. Or that it isn't.
It is well written, but I feel there is something lacking in it.

I'm up to date with Succession, and have watched some of it twice to catch up (s1 and s3). It's entertaining enough, but they build some things up to be massive plot points, then a few episodes later these momentous events are discounted as irrelevant and the whole thing carries on as if they'd never happened. Series 3 is especially bad for this. I've seen commenters raise this in the G episode recaps, only to get screamed at by dozens of people getting 200 likes each for asking them why they don't just leave the country if they don't like Succession.

I've only seen 4 episodes so far, but the main thing that bothered me was the shaky camera, blurring, and zooming close ups. It felt like they were going for that mocumentary feel
