Morning all. I’ve filled out a survey this morning about changes to flexible working. Work has stirred up quite the hornet’s nest with an announcement from the CEO a few weeks back… Gamesblog: a bit of Mario Kart Double Dash on the GC. Difficulty ramps up significantly going from 50cc to 100cc. TVblog: DS9. Also watched the first two episodes of Mulligan. I hope you did the right thing. Five days in for everyone. Actually - three days in, one day working from home, and Fridays off, would be perfect. This is my dream.

Works "anonymous" surveys. Lol. It's a trap by The Man.
Amipal. Go full Mick 'The Baron' Lynch and wind everyone up into a frenzy. "Don't let them push us around"..."if we all stick together they can't sack all of us" etc
Then fill yours in with the answers The Man wants. Hey presto! A pay rise for Amipal. Your welcome.

lazybones. You really should watch 'The Michelangelo Code: Secrets of the Sistine Chapel', presented by Art critic Waldemar Januszcak. Sky Arts. It's a beautiful thing.

Finished Jedi Gloria Gaynor, I bumped the difficulty down as the combat was rather dull, the enemies were spongy or just lots of them, I enjoyed the exploration and platforming* and the story was alright. 4*
*occasionally very annoying

I actually like being in. Five days a week for me. Working not shirking. Grafting not grifting. Superb access to one of the best Xi’an restaurants operating in London right now.
No it’s true. I am ok with being in.

4 day week. 3 days working from home. 1 commute to the lab/office per week. Every Monday off. Suits me fine!
I used to have Fridays off instead of Mondays, but soon realised the error of my ways. Friday everyone is demob happy, and buggers off early doors, meaning I can sneak off early as well. No-one authorises any major change requests for a Friday in case it goes tits-up. Not working on a Monday also means I avoid the build-up of support tickets and faults that always stack up over the weekend.
It's a win-treble!

People have argued for centuries over the correct deployment of cream and jam in a scone. But seem laxadasicle about whether pickle should go under the cheese or on top of. And also tomatoes come into this category, I've done experiments with cheese and tomato. Tastes better with the tomato first and the cheese on top.

Pickle obviously goes on top of the cheese, how would you put it underneath it? You'd need to inject it under the layer of cheese somehow

Monday off also makes Big Drink Thursday more meaningful. If you happen to be mildly hungover you might as well get paid for it.

Or do the right thing and put the tomato straight in the bin and have a nice steak instead.

I have defeated death for a couple of hours.... before my carers wake me for day with flannels in places!
I've been expressing this as a horrible experience. But it's not.
It's the only time I can sleep without fear of drifting out of our reality

The questions in there were very leading. For example, “on a scale of 1-4…” with the statements being either “I believe it’s my responsibility to do whatever it takes to up-skill and support the team” or “nothing to do wiv me guv” I made extensive use of the limited-comments space to make thoughts know. Basically told them what a pig’s ear they’d made of it all. Thinking we’re all mugs.
