I just read an article on the Guardian about a new generation of theatre-goers who didn’t ‘know the rules’ about going to the theatre, and so they talk, eat and look at their phones during the performance they’re there to see.
I felt a bit ambiguous about this … I mean I would probably be annoyed by someone talking and looking at their phone during a play. But then … How bad is it really? And I guess people who do it might not have been brought up going to the theatre, or they might have been brought up in a culture where people acted differently in theatres or similar spaces …
The idea of hidden rules in a culture … I don’t know … I’m not sure they should be lauded. It kind of feels like they’re invisible barriers to entry. The kind of thing you’d have hoped the Guardian would be well against …

not great.
PM is not happy, as still having toothaches. He mood not helped by checking the void in her gum from extraction last week, and finding….. the stump of the tooth that should have been removed. Seems they managed to snap it off, leaving the base and root still in place.
she will be tearing them a new one as soon as they open, and I’m on standby to book a half day off and ferry her back to the scene.
coffee will be much needed.

I had a difficult extraction and whilst it was healing found what I thought were pieces of tooth coming out of the extraction hole. When I went back to the dentist he said teeth come out whole but you can get bits of bone that have broken away from the jaw during the extraction making their way to the surface as it heals. This didn't make me feel any better knowing that it was pieces of my jaw bone that I finding. The tooth was so well attached that they had to split it into 4 parts to get it out. Took 2 dentists.

There was a young women across from me on the train today. Absolutely gorgeous, but I'm exhausted from the number of selfies she's taken to get the one she wants. Seems a lot of hard work.

Best of luck with Mrs. and check that either your / their insurance or your bank balance will cover - back in '77 they had taken 75m and the dentist and the nurse were behind the curtain deciding if they should send me there. It's the ROOT extraction and ALL dentists try that bollocks. Cunt who thought I was too old to be alive: Fuck right off... Very serious point. LG 43" TV's have a fault built in; I suspect it may be others too. Get in touch for my info (but I have my chopping up to endure in some 35m o so. |

I think teeth are a design fault and I'd make a complaint to management if I had a contact number. Who's idea was it to give teeth all those sensitive nerve endings when all we use them for are chewing food. Some sort of sinewy outcrop in the mouth would have done fine.

This may be of interest to Gongy.
In 2000, I had a manky tooth removed and a bridge was due to be fitted. The extraction did not go well and there was a moment when loads of krovvy started pouring out of my mouth much to the obvious concern of the dental team. Later that evening I noticed a piece of white material poking through the front of my gum. Hmmmnnn. I went back for more pre-bridge work and, after a Tids grilling, she confessed that it was a piece of my upper jaw (still attached to said jaw).
Long story short. After some debate my private dentist stumped up for all the bridge and other work (£1500) to keep schtum. Hope this helps.
