I went to a friend’s house last. He said he would show me ‘Diablo IV’ as we had discussed both buying it for its multiplayer aspects.
Not for me. In the end I sat for half an hour watching him play ‘Tales of Maj’Eyal’.
I had consumed some beer, and some marijuana from a metal / plastic ‘dry herb vapouriser’. On the tube back I felt extremely uneasy. There was a man there who was throwing his force field my way. He seemed to be trying to catch my attention. I thought I might have to defend my honour on the the street outside, but it was not to be the case … In the end it was ok.
I have a Jenga tower of work issues and someone coming in to look at a shutter this morning. Not a perfect day.

I asked ChatGPT to write a synopsis for a prequel to Moby Dick, based on the legendary whale ‘Timor Jack’. It’s come out with a very different tone to Herman Melville. More like The Lion King with whales.

I was on the way to work (the shutter man arrived and departed at an early hour. Well - over an early ten minutes).
I went a slightly different way to the station, I turned a corner and saw my next-door neighbour ambling along the route I was due to pick up. I hung back a bit (bolted behind a wall) and waited for them to have enough time to make it out of the estate and up the ramp. Enough time to ensure there would be no awkward on-the-way-to work conversation. I know that sounds crazy.
I waited and then went on and there she was - standing in a passageway, blocking my way through. I turned round on my heels and hot-footed it in the other direction.
I don’t know her to be honest. It’s just that the walk to work. I can’t talk. It’s not my time.
Maybe I should talk, but it would be hard to initiate a conversation as your’re marching past someone at an ambling pace.

Games. Went back into TLOU2. I'm getting annoyed at the ballistics. Shooting someone in the face at point blank range with a rifle should be an immediate kill or at least disabling.
Them going "ow" and then shooting you isn't exactly realistic. I've never shot a firearm into someone's face - this is all a big assumption.
A "gat" air pistol from the 80s at a distance at someone's arse - that gives an "ow"
Yes yes. I'm complaining about realism in video games.
Working upstairs at home and it's far too hot. The pm has the downstairs table.
The hall is slightly cooler I should really move into there for the day.

I'm going to stick with single player Tarkov until Starfield comes out in early September. Then towards the end of September the Cyberpunk expansion is out, so it should be a fun Autumn and Winter.
