I got my CD player back from Richer Sounds yesterday. It seems to be working. I thought I would test out how the new speakers I got sounded with it. Dionne Warwick sounded good. The Walker Brothers had a bit of distortion on the final orchestral flourish.
Interesting.
I now have some very heavy stereo equipment stacked up on our shelves. Will they take the strain? I’m worrying about a Stockton Rush level of misjudgment.

All amplifiers should come with a wattometer too show output. I’m not sure my speakers have taken things to the ‘next level’. It’s hard to say. Maybe I need to get them onto stands, and angle them for the perfect sound cone. ‘Higher than the sun’ By Primal Scream sounded good. Maybe I have to plunge into the Jah Wobble back catalogue. |
