I burnt my Dad's large & ornate computer table with a lit fag once. I drunkenly thought I'd put it in the ashtray. I simply covered up the burnt wood and blistered lacquer with the ashtray. He never mentioned it, although I was shitting it for quite a while.

Morning Tension is building. I'm settling my nerves by scoffing some Eggs Tuffers Bennett: Two toast, buttered. Two eggs, fried. Sprinkle of salt n pepper. In a few hours I'll be in the wastelands, mixing with mutants and ne'er-do-wells. No good can come of this. Just do what everyone does. Get horribly drunk. Give all your money to a stripper/ pole dancer Go home with a terrible hangover having spent far too much. Lie about it. Say you had a really good time if you hated it. If you enjoyed it claim to have hated it.. Works every time. |

FacelessSpill the beans. What happened last night? It wasn't really very exciting looking back on it. Basically went to a pub for a few quiet drinks. After a while a group of loud, drunk, but generally friendly women latched on to us. A few minutes later this huge meathead guy comes over and starts shouting at one of the women. Apparently a couple of weeks earlier in the same pub he'd accused her of trying to get him in trouble with his wife by flirting with him or something. She got a bit shouty back, and so he then turned his attention to us, as we were stood with them, making threats and whatnot. Then another woman, with two black eyes and looking a bit worse for wear steps in and tells this guy to fuck off. They both start shoving each other and eventually he walked away. This woman then starts going on about how all her kids got taken into care because she's a crack addict, and it's all the fault of men like him. Anyway, one of my mates apparently went home with one of them. He's not said which one, but I bet it was the crack addict |

The Socialist Workers Party are protesting by my building. Not sure what they’re protesting about: ‘Say it loud and say it clear. Refugees are welcome here’ I've kept my powder dry on this point, but no more. The correct response should be, "What? Even the murdering, raping, paedo ones? You haven't thought this through have you, you dickheads.".
Vote Tids, he spent 4 years hunting these fuckers down and 40 hours in therapy.
Not that you'd notice, I'm alright now.  |

The problem I found was that they kept saying children who weren't with parents. I was thinking children who couldn't look after themselves and then when you see pictures they look like adult men.

Hello all!
Spent the morning at Tilgate Park in Crawley.
I knew we’d arrived in Crawley, because very other road user seemed intent on killing us. Very aggressive drivers round that neck of the woods.
Upon returning home (which took an hour and a half due to heavy traffic heading towards Brighton), and after a later lunch, the boy watched How to Train Your Dragon 2. I took the opportunity to get a focaccia on the go, as well as to start editing some more Sweet Content™️.
The bread turned out wonderfully, and we had it with sausages and salad for dinner.

Filmblog: I watched Temple of Doom last night. It’s one of those “Indiana Jones” films, not sure if you’ve heard of them?
It feels like it was written and directed by two separate teams. The opening section in Shanghai is very good, looks and reads more like Raiders than the rest of the film.
Of course, much has been said about the negative racial representations present in the film. One could argue that the way Indians are shown may have been similar to how races were demonstrated in films from the era Indy is set in - that the audiences would have revelled in the displays of “savages”.
It’s still wrong though.

I’ve rootled about in my heart and I think I can say ‘Refugees are welcome here’. Not right here. I think more there. This room’s quite small.
The trans rights thing: From the Socialist Workers Party I don’t buy it. I think maybe I once read some of their guff and it was quite an undigested version of ‘Marxism’. 19th century Marxism. It’s possible I’m wrong. I mean almost certain. But I don’t think Karl Marx was really into the idea of individual human rights.
