The bus line I was going to get to the Netherlands has been stopped, as of the 1st of July.

Holy moly - would you believe it? I thought I was going to have to abandon my idea of getting a bus and ferry into the Netherlands near Brugge / Bruges, and have to get a train via Ghent and Antwerp instead.
I was walking down to the station. I could not believe a bus line would be cut like that. I decided to do an internet search, in Dutch, to get to the bottom of the mystery.
It’s a boring story. Anyway I ended up downloading this app and it told me the nearest stop to the line I thought had been stopped was only a second away. I looked up and there was a bus stop, and there were two buses coming towards it. One of them was the bus I wanted.
I’M GOING TO BRESKENS
I can’t wait.

incautiously suggested I do the big shop on my Tod this morning while PM is at work, in the hope I might coffer some brownie points and go and sit in a pub garden all afternoon with the dog and listen to the cricket. I am on a train to Zwolle.
I got off the ferry with a number of options in mind. One of them was ‘go to Zwolle’. Then it turned out that all the trains went to Zwolle.

We're in the Jardin du Luxembourg.
It's very nice and there are lots of French families kicking about.
We're in the shade as it's kinda hot and the child is unhappy with the heat / tired.
I've just munched a baguette with cheese & jam I made from the breakfast buffet and a hard boiled egg. It's possibly* the nicest thing I've ever eaten.
*Obviously not, but the sun is out and I'm on holiday.

Just received a funeral notice for Chumbles.
Very sad. R.I.P Mr. C.
EDIT:
Apparently he died at home on 17th June. His funeral is on 14th July.
