Those trips to France were good fun. He was in his element telling me exactly what wine and cheese to buy.
His game playing was waaaaay out of my league (not saying much). Fond memories playing chess against him in hospital and him humouring my poor play.

EDIT: We played chess online quite a few times. I think we each won 3 games with a couple of draws. We sort of agreed that we were equally matched and left it that.
Could never get into the other games he played.

Thunder and lightning here. Still I nailed the barbeque.
Check out this PUBG duo win. It's end game and it's me Vs a team of 2. They have my pinned down taking damage by some rocks. And they have a drone. But I had one thing they didn't have, a fearsome rage in my belly*.

So I came to Zwolle … mainly because I had read that it was an interesting old medieval city, but also sort of because it was the one place that trains from Vlissingen went to. I stood in the station and looked up at departures and it said Zwolle Zwolle Zwolle. Well actually the words were in a column on top of each other rather than a row. I felt that the Fates had spoken. The sure hand of Destiny was sending me a message. In one-handed sign language I suppose…
Zwolle is OK. A bit like a cross been Utrecht and Elgin. The place I booked turns out to be a conference and events hotel in a business park built around the football ground for PEC Zwolle, who I think I might have picked once in Pro-Evolution Soccer.
Yeah, well, so …
I don’t have a lot to do. I booked it for four days. I might get a bike, or take a daytrip to Leewarden.
