The last time I got a late night taxi from the west end to my bit it was about £25. About two mins from my house I realised we'd been following the night bus and I could have got it for £3. |

At least next time you'll know your £25 was money well spent.
Or buy a pill, dance until daylight and get an early bus home.
Then explain to the child that daddy is tired, but does not want to sleep. Or concentrate on anything.
I once got a taxi to Paddington to catch the last train back to Ealing.
When I got there the last train had been cancelled.
I had to wait for the night bus which took forever. I'd been near Trafalgar Square so I could have saved £10.
Taxi and train would have saved an hour. Taxi and bus did not.

I used to like the night buses.
An education in bad things.
The first time I was on one I was worried about the underlying threat of trouble and the number of drunk people who seemed to be veering unpredictably between being way up for partying on the bus and being unconscious.
On later journeys I have been the drunk people.

I just saw the news on chumbles.
He was a really good guy, we triumphed some epic space battles together, wish I'd made time for one of the last few NP invitations.
Will miss his presence here when I log in.
Thoughts going out to those that maybe knew him better and longer than I did.

Today, whilst at my work desk, I completed SteamWorld Dig. I am the best. 4*
Before moving on to SteamWorld Dig 2, I have now started playing Vampire Survivors. It is hectic. 4*
Later I'm going to carry on with some more Alan Wake on the Playstation which are downstairs. 4*
All the games.

I Fabian’d his Hannibal by giving him two bad options, one of which I knew he’d turn down. So we’re going to Wahaca. Victory… Although, because of the delay in actually getting him to agree on anything, we’re now having a 5pm meal rather than meeting at 7pm. Not really evening plan, as such. |
