There's a new Tom Holland book out Pax. It's most about late First Century CE Rome.
I am enjoying it a lot.

hello
I have had a strangely ineffectual day. I listened to people tell me they were overworked. They are. I nodded and pulled an understanding face. I then met someone who told me they were stressed and unhappy, and that the first two people I’d spoken to were overworked. I pulled a similar face.
I reorganised some emails and took out some papers and wondered if the head of the department thought I was doing a bad job. I then went out to eat some noodles.
While eating the noodles I took some time to post on an internet forum about the morning I’d had. Then I went to a branch of Caffe Nero. I’m here now!

There's a new Tom Holland book out Pax. It's most about late First Century CE Rome. I am enjoying it a lot. I just bought my daughter a Tom Holland book for her birthday. Starting her early. I do like his stuff, I'll pick that up. |
