amipal (from yesterday) No mention of Tube Alloys. It’s clear to me Christopher Nolan Hates Britain. amipal - I know you’ll disagree with me on this, but I do think Harry S. Truman is at least in the same swimming pool complex as History’s Greatest Monsters. And … if a nuclear deterrant is ok then why not a biological deterrent? A chemical deterrent? MondayWhat will it hold? …

And thank you amipal and Sheep2 for your invaluable advice on building an atomic weapon. Food for thought. MusicI’ve found a new radio station called Dreamscape Radio. It’s Dutch, I’m pretty sure it’s Dutch. The one presenter I’ve encountered speaks English and plays a lot of 1970s Tangerine Dream style synthesiser music. ‘Welcome to Dreamshcape Radio. Enjoy the mushic!’ Oh man. I put it on this morning and have just realised it’s on a loop. The same tracks and the same chat from the man (‘Great shequencing!’) A blow ...

It could, and is probably the best use of time. But I want to go on the Eurostar.
There's *yet* to be a Eurostar disaster.
Zeebrugge just makes me think of redtop newspapers and drowning.
Eurostar I'll have Tom Cruise and Ving Rhames hacking phones in my carriage.

I used to like Eurostar. It used to feel like an almost seamless connection with Europe - The rest of Europe. Now it feels like you’re at a border, on an island. I know there was always passport control anyway, so maybe I’m imagining it a bit. But it’s not as pleasant an experience as it used to be…

My boss has gone on holiday to a remote resort in Tanzania. He has left me with quite a few interesting/horrendous things to sort in his absence.
I've had better Mondays. Obviously it's rained again today.

You're all on the beach in Rhodes aren't you? Awaiting a Dunkirk-style rescue.

I'm putting school holidays into a school library system and I'm being forced to enter "Spring Break" instead of Easter Holidays as that's what it's called on the schools webpage on the council site. Paging amipal

Hello.
I had a fun night hunting for senile cat at 12.30am. Wading through the undergwoth with a powerful torch. Didn't help that Mrs T kept calling back to Tids Towers to alert me to suspicious characters lurking about, 'That blokes got a knife', etc..
It wasn't a knife - it was a beer can, and in any case, I'd been watching Quadrophenia so was well versed in street fighting techniques.
He staggered off once I adopted a US cop style of torch bearing (Hold it over the right shoulder).
Unfortunately, I found the cat looking rather confused. It's now asleep in the bog (don't ask).
Bye.

Morning
GAMES! I was perusing the ps+ tough guy tier yesterday to see which 'free' games I'm not playing and happened upon Dysmantle. It is tremendous. A survival collect-a-thon. 4.5* would recommend.
TV! More BB. Non Series 4 Ep 4. Still OK.
OTTM! Classic Global Warming. Lol.

I think its a bit much the Greeks complaining about 2 weeks of unusually bad weather. Fine yes there have been some fires, but being prepared for bad weather is the best solution. Thats why we have a fleet of comedically names grit trucks on rotation around the country for 9/12 months a year up here. To avoid and prevent disasters. I cant imagine how they would deal with having Scotlands weather. Get better organised Greece!
They could do Fire trucks and catch the public interest. Flames Blunt Flammable Lecter etc etc

**Title: Captain Albion (Amipal)**
**Publication History**
Captain Albion, originally known as Amipal, is a British superhero character who first made his appearance in the comic series "Amipal: The Sword of Britannia." The character was introduced in the series' inaugural arc, "The Commodore Conundrum." The series and its protagonist have gained acclaim for their unique blend of modern pop culture, British mythology, and thought-provoking commentary on cultural assimilation.
**Fictional Character Biography**
Captain Albion, formerly Amipal, is a man of remarkable character, with a deep-seated love for vintage technology, particularly the Commodore Amiga range of computers, painting war figurines, and naval history. His life undergoes a dramatic shift when, during a peaceful walk in the South Downs, he discovers the legendary sword Excalibur. As he lifts the sword, the spirit of King Arthur enters him, bestowing upon him superhuman abilities and the charge of protecting Britain.
Captain Albion's primary mission is the preservation of British culture and language, increasingly at risk from American influences. His first significant challenge, as depicted in "The Commodore Conundrum," confronts him with the fact that his cherished Commodore Amiga, a significant part of his identity, is an American invention. This revelation strikes a discordant note with his mission of championing British culture.
Throughout the arc, Captain Albion grapples with his affection for the Amiga and his duty to promote British culture, leading him to the discovery of the Dragon 32, a British computer. The conclusion of this arc is a poignant moment for Captain Albion as he comes to realize that while his interests might have international roots, it is his passion and dedication that truly define him.
**Powers and Abilities**
Captain Albion possesses superhuman abilities bestowed upon him by the spirit of King Arthur. These include enhanced strength, endurance, agility, and rapid healing. He is also skilled in wielding Excalibur, a magical sword that can cut through any material. His knowledge of naval history and the art of painting war figurines also aid him in formulating strategies during battles. Most notably, Captain Albion possesses a unique linguistic ability that enables him to detect and counteract the encroachment of American English on British culture and language.
**Cultural Impact**
Captain Albion, or Amipal, is lauded for his portrayal of a complex superhero grappling with issues of cultural identity and change. His journey has resonated with readers worldwide, particularly those navigating the complexities of cultural assimilation. Captain Albion symbolizes the fluidity of culture, delivering a timely message about the importance of embracing change while preserving cultural heritage.

I’m not entirely happy with what ChatGPT’s done there.
What the name has in Albionosity, it lacks in gravitas.
