The ball flickers on the screen, had to put the tv on dark mode make it watchable. Also, anyone remember Gary Crosby heading it out of Andy Dibble's hands.

I was planning to watch the Champions League, but I accidently came to the pub with Dog instead. He's the best. Better than whatever mutt Scubar has. Poor Scubar...

Did you see that fan making a run into the box? I reckon he was after the keeper to either punch him or shake his hand depending on which team he supported.

Would a striker missing 2 easy goals get as much stick as Karius will now?

Here is a map showing lightning strikes in real time. en.blitzortung.org/live_dynamic_maps.php?map=10There is a key for the age of strikes in the settings menu on the top right of the map. There's also a forum on the site, but I can't find where they discuss their lunches. Edit: The noise the site makes when there's a strike within the open map area also sounds if you've switched to a different browser tab. I guess it's might be less interesting when there are no storms. For the moment though, I can't really see that I'll ever need the rest of the internet again. North Wales is taking a bit of a pounding at the moment. Putting "Detectors" to on in the menu is also interesting. I guess it's basically a map of some of the biggest weather geeks in the world.

Morning all.
Interesting football matches yesterday. Neither of which I'm particularly happy with as a spurs fan. Looks like the rumours of bale returning and signing sessegnon are both done with.
I honestly think if a striker performed that badly in a final be probably would be crucified. It's hard to think of comparable scenarios between the two positions. Unfortunately you cannot make those mistakes as a goalkeeper. The second is almost worse than the first.
Really, really feel for him. Watching him on his own at the final whistle in tears was sad to see.
No games.

Ours is still up at 6am onwards - but if it's the weekend/bank holiday she's old enough to get an iPad/cbeebies shoved in her face for an hour. Though her favourite spot to watch it is on our bed.

The Blitzortung website is correct. Loads of little orange and red lightning bolts in Birmingham. This was mainly between 2am and 3am and, in tandem with the deluge, was keeping me nicely awake. Like being in a carwash with serious wiring problems. The torrential rain was still going on earlier this morning, now it's as if nothing happened. I haven't had enough sleep.
Played some Skyrim last night and almost finished Saarthal. Almost because I realised I forgot something after I'd already left. I'm the best at games.

TV. A very English scandal and the last episode of the good place.
Games. Stunk the place out at The Division. Level 13 bosses owning me. Need to do a couple of previous missions again and git better. Need to get back into it.
H1ZR was ok. If I wanted a quick game of something for 20 mins it would be good - but I'd probably rather quick round of bf1/cod.

The other day I found myself having to explain the concept of the paninni football sticker album to an adult man. It turned out he also had no real idea what the world cup is. He tried to up his game by asking if Great Britain had qualified, and then, upon having that one corrected, whether I thought Scotland had a chance to win it. This man has lived his whole life in England and is in his late 30s. Several days later I am still troubled by this conversation. Even if you don't like football surely this not possible. Alien invader under deep cover?

My interlocutor, that is, to be John Terry. I was not suggesting that John Terry is insuffiently racist for my liking.

Sounds like your classic 'anything popular or mainstream is beneath me' shtick I don't know... I've got this frequently with my other half and it's just that he's so preoccupied with his own stuff that he doesn't notice anything. Either that or he's an alien invader under deep cover.
