I have no beer as fuckin Asda didn't deliver them. I'm going to pop out to the local shop and pick up a couple once the pm comes back from the pool.
I'm not driving in the morning but we are going through to Edinburgh by train to see a bit of that there Fringe action.

Some of the wilder lads from the old chatterbox meet up every year to play games. They hire a house near Burton and spend a long weekend in a dirty sock. I don't think they play much D&D, but other weirdo board games are de rigeur. I am sure they would welcome naive new flesh if any of you want in. I have never been, but I'd be prepared to send a suicide bomber there to clear the place out. It’s a very exclusive event. Invites are in short-supply. Unless you can bring a game with you, or offer other skills, you won’t even be up for consideration. |

It's only a 30 minute drive from me - well if the A38 north of Lichfield is open, which it isn't.
If you are that upset about not being invited I could pop up there next time it's on.
Put a dog turd or a firecracker through the letterbox.
Or throw metal soldiers through the windows.

Disney have been shit for physical discs for ages now. If you don't want Disney+ they don't want to know.
I was looking for Prey the Predator film from last year earlier this week. It's only on Mouse+. Wankers.
I'd buy the occasional individual film. But i don't want another monthly sub for stuff i pretty much won't watch.

I went to the house with boardgames once. I played eight hours of a boardgame about the Reformation. With cosplay. I wore a floppy Erasmus hat, there was someone dressed as the Pope and someone dressed as Henry VIII. EnglishRed can testify to this. Sadly - eight hours was only long enough to get halfway through the game and someone - I think it was the Pope - sacked it off. I do sometimes feel there might be a part of me in a floppy Erasmus hat - stranded in a dry, yet historically rich, boardgame version of the 16th century. |

I went to a stag weekend a few years ago where the stag made us play Kingmaker for 8 hours, with a hangover. It was effectively a hostage situation.
