OTTM: The festival is over, the healing process can now begin. OOTTM: I'm struggling to commit to buying a new console. The Xbox One X I have has definetly had the least use of any console I ve had. Still feels sort of new as Ive used it so little. But I cant get pumped for games then hardly ever play them if I dont have a console that they can play on... Get yourself a steam deck. |

I'm currently running the pile of mp3's I had in Google Music through Picard. It's going to check* the tags and some missing artwork. It should hopefully move them into the proper folders as Google Takeout gave me them in one folder.
I can then shove it in a music player and put it on my phone.
So I can then decide to re-rip as FLAC and do it all over again. The circle of life.

The gang are back from camping and the house is noisy again and a mess already *shakes fist*
Made chilli for tea. Tried a new recipe. Added sun dried tomatoes in oil from a jar, plus, as well as the usual kidney beans, I also added a tin of mixed beans (Cannellini, Flageolet, Adzuki). ALL the fibre. Parp!
Back to work tomorrow after 10 days off. Kill me. Please.

FLAC is miles better than MP3. It just is.
Ideally 192/24. Technically i can record in 384/32. But my streamer won't play that. Also I don't need individual tracks that are 2-3 GB.
I think there's a a 3GB file limit in windows. Though you can have a bigger temp file.
Depending on what you are doing and your speakers itnot that easy to tell a 320kbs MP3 from a FLAC. If you sit and listen to an orchestra it's really obvious, but if you are doing stuff with music on it's ok.
Downloading everything just right and getting the labelling perfect is much more important than actually listening to the music. If it isn't in the right folder and format it's just not enjoyable.
