morning!
starfield blog… enjoying it but it has some oddities. I get the vibes of fallout 4 rather than Skyrim from it, and the actual ‘being in space’ part of it doesn’t fill me with fear and wonder like Elite, which is a shame as I do love a space game. Even NMS gives me the sense of scale as you can seamlessly fly from one planet surface to another.
The missions are good fun, and I’m doing my usual sneaky assassin type of character. Silenced pistol, with a legendary shotty for when things get loud. Playing normal difficulty and there seems plenty enough ammo and credits about. Don’t think I’ve needed to actually buy anything yet, and have yet to get into crafting or shipbuilding sides of it.
currently level 11 and am on the trail of the scrote who stole the HopeTech ship, and the secret of the old gal on her farm….. TBC.

I'm about 90 mins in.
How am i meant to remember all these controls? It's no Jet Set Willie. But the cream cleared that up.
The space fighting may be be an issue. I need someone on guns I can shout "Great Kid, don't get cocky" at. Killed those first space chumps - but that was a tutorial basically. Using the DualSense controller. The cockpit would be good in VR if not a tad boaky.
TV. Restarted Top Boy. I've only ever seen the first series. Forgot how grim it is. Innit fam.

I downloaded Overwatch 2. The first scene is of a gorilla called ‘Winston’. I’ll level with you … I thought it was maybe touching on issues you might think of as being … I don’t know … a bit … a little bit sort of …. ‘racist’? … It made me think of a white man doing a Jamaican accent and saying ‘Chill, Winston’. Then I remembered that Blizzard also, I think, had trolls with Jamaican accents in World of Warcraft.
Hmmm. I deleted Overwatch 2. No big deal. Imagine me like Lieutenant Columbo leaving the room and gesticulating as if trying to play down the issue.
I also played Final Fantasy XIV for five minutes. I was able to remove my character’s name from above his head and that was achievement enough for me. I also played Fortnite…

But essentially an RPG FPS game will always be easier on k&m as you just point at heads and go "click". |

I'm starting to think we know more about foreign regional foods than our own. Saw this morning a bowl of raw onions and cucumber floating in what I think was malt vinegar?. A Northern delicacy eaten with roast dinners it seems. Never heard of it but people had very fond memories of it.
