hi
I was just reading the chat from yesterday. I have recently been toying with a soft drugs habit. I don’t know if I’ve quite been able to ‘land’ it. I have also wondered if it was maybe a symptom of some sort of mid-life crisis.
I don’t think I could handle ecstasy. I think I’d probably die. Maybe a taste. A small taste wouldn’t do any harm.

I don’t think I see myself doing ecstasy again any time soon. I liked it a lot but now maybe it would make my heart burst like an over-ripe grapefruit….

I remember having a detailed conversation with my friend when we were both 20, about our future lives. He was explaining what he wanted to be doing when he was 25 and I laughed at him because that was so many years away that it seemed ridiculous to even think about it.

lazybonesE can be very strong nowadays. Regularly 200mg+. In the 90s they were topping out at 160. Start with a 1/4 and check online what folk at saying about them. Not a definitive solution - but something to keep in mind. Or have a nice halloumi shawarma instead.

An invite to a swingers party might be a bit disappointing.

Hello. Games. More TLOU2. TV. More Mr In-between. Then some more Top Boy when the pm went to bed and chatted to my pal.
About to make banana & raspberry loaf I think. Not enough oats to make flapjacks.
{Edit}Not got enough butter. Fucks sake. Need to go to the shops.

At 25 i had no idea what i wanted to do at 25. And now? It's a bit late. Still not much idea. The MA in history was definitely a way of putting off career decisions. As was studying to become a chartered accountant. It gives you skills. There were two types of chartered accountancy student. Those who had always wanted to do it. They'd studied accounting or maths at university. That was 50-60% of people I knew. The rest were arts graduates who didn't want to be teachers or journalists. Of these most were history graduates. I think history is great for general skills. You learn to construct arguments and assess evidence. But it's terrible for jobs. You can become a teacher, a journalist or an accountant, or a civil servant. Unless you really know what you want to do.

Play Fortnite and drink strong Belgian wheat beer? The wheat beer is mostly German. And no more than 5% abv. The Belgian ale is usually made with barley. Also you've missed out the football. Apart from that, a fair summary.

I’m reading ‘Against Nature’ by Joris Karl Huysmans. It’s pretty good but the copy that I’ve got is falling apart. I’ve never had a book as fallen apart as this. It was second-hand and now it’s not even really a book. It’s torn card and paper in a pile by the bed. It’s good though. I recommend www.ibiblio.org/eldritch/jkh/r09.html
