I played a lot of Monster Hunter this weekend. At the moment I’m focused on a monster called the ‘Tigrex’. I think the idea is that it’s like a cross between a tiger and a tyrannosaurus rex. It is very effective at beating me up. On a couple of occasions I’ve fired an SOS flare and better players have joined to alleviate my woe. The last couple of times though - no. I’ve had to fight it myself and quite ineffectively ...
I hope I can rush home tonight and get onto Monster Hunter again. It is a truly excellent game.

I played only Dark Souls NG+.
I smashed up Artorias. Once you are used to him he's fine. Big shield, wolf ring, cloranthy ring circle him anti-clockwise. I barely took a hit. Which is good as each hit nearly killed me.
Avoid the big pointy charge which really hurts and stay close so he doesn't do the big jump.
I had as much trouble with one of the little mages who was hidden on a balcony in town. He smashed me good a couple of times.
I just need to rescue Sif and visit Manus and Kalameet to chat and the DLC is done.

The main problem so far is another of the party keeps 'forgetting' that taking items highlighted in red is stealing. Once you've stolen from a settlement you pretty much have to kill everyone there |

I was badly hungover through the entirety of Sunday. I saw The Black Dog show on Saturday (bleak ambient techno and arty photos). It was funny because half the crowd were loudly opening cans of Carling and the other half were going "Shush!". I then proceeded to open my cans in an aloft, exaggerated manner.
