I assume Babyfark is spooning granules directly into his mouth from the jar. Just the occasional sip of Red Bull to wash it down.
Either that or heating the granules on the spoon and injecting himself with the results.

Why spend millions finding the Endurance when you could get a ticket to the Cutty Sark or the Discovery for south of 20 quid and still have change for a coffee afterwards? Bananas.

Not everyone lives within walking distance, or a short train ride if you don't enjoy walking over the bridge, of RMS Discovery you know. Breathtaking arrogance.

Also Rolling has missed the SS Great Britain in Bristol, HMS Victory and the Mary Rose (both in Portsmouth I think) the Golden Hinde Replica in Southwark and HMS Belfast.
And worst of all HMS Forward in Bordesley. The pride of the Navy.
I saw both the Cutty Sark and the SS Great Britain in or around 1985. They were both basically rotten hulks at the time. In worse condition than Endurance by some distance. I think they have been extensively rebuilt since then. RMS Discovery was ok. I have seen that. Though as it is in Dundee it's actually less easy to get to than the Endurance. I have not been to se HMS Victory or the Mary Rose.

I'll give the residents of Elephant Island a pass on those grounds.

Bright white, she was. Of course, horribly burnt in 2007. Looking much better now both before and after the fire, although the rest of the development of the area is a bit much. As for HMS Victory, ach. I know there are issues concerning her long-term conservation, but did they really have to turn the area forward of the foremast into a gift shop? A breathtaking lack of respect.

Also Discovery is £17 to visit. You won't be getting a coffee at the V&A Dundee with the change from £20. Plus the cost of a trip to Dundee.
It's almost certainly cheaper to fly to Cape Town, Hire an icebreaker and a 3000m rated sub and visit the Endurance. Though the gift shop could do with an upgrade.

Just had shopping delivered, missing 2 tins of tuna but 1 extra 500g of pork mince, net gain: £1.25, should I request a refund for the missing tins, whilst keeping quiet about the extra mince, or just take the win?
Moral dilemma(ish).

I suppose it depends how much you want the tuna.

This ship talk has reminded me of how I fell asleep on the sofa last night. There was a documentary on the Golden Hinde. The presenter was on the replica of the Golden Hinde by London Bridge and was, well, just talking about Francis Drake and the Golden Hinde … I think I would have liked sailing the Seven Seas on one of Francis Drake’s ships than one of Nelson’s ones. Real adventure. The pm’s brother was telling me about the sinking of the Vasa the other day … en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vasa_(ship)…

The works canteen (they insisted it was a restaurant and not a canteen) chef at a place of work was very proud to have dived on the Mary Rose.

It’s something I’ll never understand.
