Yesterday I had a new breakfast. Suatee thinly sliced mushrooms of choice in a sliver of butter. Add grated cheese and cook until all melted together. Serve on buttered toast. This morning I'm going to add some chopped fresh chilli. I had something like that yesterday. Pretty nice. In the eaterie I was in it was sold as a vegan alternative to a ‘Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich’. The italics in the description said you could substitute in mushrooms for steak. |

lazybonesWhat turns did you watch at your festival? Any stick out? Hi! We saw a band called Nihiloxica yesterday, who were really good. And E.S.G - though there was only one original member there. I think the rest of the band were maybe a son and daughter of original members. They were really good. And lots of ambient noodling. |

Not bad. Should have had more Aubergine, but pretty tasty. I had marinaded a chicken breast in things the child liked (Roblox, Taylor Swift tears and YouTuber spit) which i seared and did the oven. Err, paprika, oil, garlic, salt. Which she munched down. Wasn't sure how much she'd like the kebabs due to lemon juice and cumin, chilli in the marinade. She like those too so that was a bonus. Would make again and possibly not add the yoghurt in the marinade till the last minute. Only marinaded for about two hours. Will attempt more next time. |

Rubbish weather out there. Perfect for staying in all day and pottering, cooking, watching footy, playing computer games and maybe some drinking later.
Lunch - Greggs corned beef bake from Iceland.
Tea - making roast gammo. Having with mash, carrots, white cabbage, aunt Bessies Yorkies and gravy. Yummers.

The shops are filled with Xmas stuff. My fruit bowl has satsumas and walnuts. My organic veg box is seasonal so I had roast parsnips for the first time today since the beginning of the year. The Channel 5 Christmas film and alcohol makes it feel like Christmas. I've peaked a little early for Christmas haven't I.

I really like Christmas*, we have my birthday meal of roast pork the day before and on Christmas day roast beef**, cold meat and fried mash on Boxing day and I always watch "A Charlie Brown's Christmas" and "Scrooged" 4*
Also I don't go to the pub to see the once a year drinkers "have fun".
*despite being an Atheist.
**If I'm cooking, otherwise turkey at Pref.Mam.'s various family members.
