I fully expect Israel to discover the secret Hospital base any minute now. It will be found with a big piece of white A3 above the door that says 'Hamas Secret Terror Base' on it. Inside they will find several generic Kalashnikovs, a bullet proof vest, darkweb printed instructions on how to build nuclear weapons and a copy of Mein Kampf.

Nearly choked on a mozzarella sandwich. You can’t eat anything these days. Last night, I scoffed some veggy sausages with spuds/veg. I feel quite weak today as a result.
I need a hot protein injection.*
*Easy, Tuffers.

Grim. GamesMurder Simulator OG I am doing much better in solo games than in duos. A 27% win rate without Shenguin. Co-incidence? I had a nice win last night where I got into a very small circle early and was able to shoot the last opponent as he had to approach me. win rate with? 5% i think I have won 5 solo games and 1 duos game despite playing more duos games. It's pretty obvious why.

Duos is tougher to win than solo. If you get isolated two players will generally kill a stronger player (not that I put myself in that category) If you end up 1 v 2 at the end it is very difficult for the one to win. And even if you are playing reasonably well co-ordinated it's easy to get separated and killed in just a few seconds at the end. In a solo game you can hope to end up 1v1 or pick off the winner of the 2nd v 3rd place battle.
We are ok, but aren't that well co-ordinated as a team. Sometimes it works but often there is a 2 second delay between us which decides fights. I.e. one of us charges in and either wins or loses the fight for both of us. We are both prone to doing this. Sometimes it's just so obvious what you need to do that telling your partner is unnecessary.

Hello all!
Ceasefirechat: if people believe that anyone other than the US calling for a ceasefire in Gaza will make a difference to Israel’s military operation, they’re deluded. The Israeli government criminally dropped the ball by not keeping watch of the border - the only reason they’re staying in power is to persecute the retaliatory strikes against Hamas. And they’ll see that through. What other Israeli wars/ops in the past have given anyone the slightest hint that they’d do otherwise? Of course it is horrible that Palestinian civilians are suffering deaths and grievous wounds - there is no denying that. And of course, Labour have to tear the party asunder over what is essentially of no consequence to themselves or the country.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I have double-science this afternoon…

Tech question....I start a couple of torrent downloads and then watch iPlayer. iPlayer then stutters. If I pause the torrents iPlayer is fine. But I can then restart torrents and iPlayer is still ok. Is this because first item started has priority. I'm guessing it's bandwidth, but not sure.

Limit the torrent bandwidth in the torrent application. Or, spend £5 on a seed box where it will download faster than your home broadband.
Then download at full speed to the house at your leisure.

I just *actually* read your post properly.
My comments stand. But the torrents are probably self throttling as iPlayer is downloading to fill up the cache so it doesn't stutter.

Anyway!
Gamesblog: none on one of those fancy modern computers or consoles. Some on the classic Amiga. I have just finished a rather enjoyable friendly game of Worms: Director’s Cut.
TVblog: been watching Deadwood, not sure if anyone has heard of it? It’s pretty good, and in a single episode you’ll hear more swearing than an entire series of the next sweariest series. 4*
Lunchblog: soup and a sandwich. It’s a meal.

There are two nerds in this coffee shop discussing RPGs/motherboards and the like.
Role playing games, not the Hamas toy.
Player 1 is saying he doesn't have time to play Elden Ring due to family commitments.
Player 2, the sweaty virgin is telling him to make time.
I wish to slap player 2 in the style of the batman slapping meme, but I fear my arrest will interrupt my shoapin'

Tech/phone question
My current phone is over 5 years old. The one I had before it lasted well over 5 years too. My current phone was obtained as a contract, then after 2 years, I went on a cheap sim only rolling contract. I've seen a deal on black Friday and am considering buying the handset outright (sim free). Is it simply a case of taking my sim out of current phone and putting it in potential new phone thus keeping my cheap monthly sim rate? Or is it not that simple? Never bought a handset outright before, was always via an initial 12/18/24 month contract. . Apart from an old Nokia pay as you go in about 1999!

I have just received my first Xmas card this year. It states on the front, 'To a Wonderful Neighbour'. Can you guess who it is yet? Here's a clue.

TuffersYes and no. You may need a new smaller SIM. You'd just get one from the same company shop or Poundland etc and then phone your phone company with the new SIM details and they'll port your number/contract to the new sim

My iPhone 7 had the same sized sim as my newer iPhone 14, so a straight swap for that. I can’t remember the last time I was on contract. I’ve been with GiffGaff for years, buy the phone outright from Apple.
