I think there should be a ceasefire. I just … don’t think you should kill civilians … Even if your civilians have been killed.

The Israeli Defence Forces have gone nuts - bombing hospitals, killing people in the UN and WHO (maybe not intentionally). At the very least the US should stop giving them money and military support to do it.

That’s my take.

I ate a risotto yesterday, with pearl barley and beer replacing the arborio rice and wine. A Great British thumb in the eye for ‘Big Cucina’.

Not much else going on.

I’m reading a book called ‘Arthur’s Britain’. A thumb in the eye for … The Anglo-Saxons? Actually so far it’s mainly been a lot of talk about Easter Tables and chronology. Dry but oddly compelling.

Yes. There aren't many problems really likely to solved by more killings.
The Israeli position of a close siege with almost no food, water, medicine or fuel allowed in and killing hundreds every day would in other circumstance clearly be seen as a major war crime - say if the Russians did it.

Hamas is a large part of the civil infrastructure of Gaza. It has been the effective government there for 16 years. The armed wing is only part of the organisation. It's also clear why they have embedded the way they have. And that is simply down to weakness. Since 2007 any building associated with Hamas has been bombed by Israel, often more than once. If Hamas built a military headquarters openly it would simply be pulverised. They can't face the IDF in an open battle. They can have some success with rockets, surprise attacks and urban fighting. It doesn't make what they have done or are doing right, but I think people should recognise that to a large extent they aren't doing it because they are evil, but because they are weak. 

I don't think Israel can eliminate Hamas or its ideas in Gaza except by removing the entire population. So long as Israel demands to dominate and control Palestinians there is going to be something like Hamas. It seems to me the Israeli expectation is to cow the Palestinians sufficiently so it a lomng time before there is significant violence from them, but this is a an incredibly brutal war. 

Saw a small piece on the TV news about an horrific child abuse case in Scotland. I expected it to be all over the news but not seen any reports of it since.

If history* has taught us anything, then all warring factions forget their differences and come together in unity, when a fleet of alien spaceships arrive in our atmosphere with the sole intention of destroying all mankind.

I just hopped on for a Casual Mode PUBG match and won. There was a dude driving around killing everyone so I camped his car and killed him when he returned. There were no human players left after that, so I killed 3 bots and won.
