I enjoyed Ringworld, but it took far too long to get going, and I think I hoped for more from the ending. The main dude was also a bit sex-pesty

Quite right, appalling judgement, casts doubt on the other recommendations, also how can you "be on the fence" about "Ringworld"? I enjoyed Ringworld, but it took far too long to get going, and I think I hoped for more from the ending. The main dude was also a bit sex-pesty Yeah Niven was a bit dodgy sometimes, better than Heinlein though in that regard, I preferred the sequel "The Ringworld Engineers". |

Recent Sci-fi I've read that I've enjoyed are books by Ann Leckie, best start with the "Ancillary" trilogy. I agree, Ancillary ones were good |

I have started the 5thMiles Cameron Red Knight book.
That is a lot of words. Some of them in the right order. His actual maps are really shit.
I'd recommend John Gwynne and Anthony Ryan if you haven't tried them.

Yep, RDR2 is the GOAT.
My top 5 are probably in the order I put them as I actually finished all them (still got loads of RDR2 challenges left mind). Despite putting in nearly 70 hours on Dark souls 3 I haven't finished it, but have a save file. Also haven't finished Horizon, not sure why. For some reason I've had two attempts at Bloodborne and got stuck pretty early on and sulked. Couldn't get into spooderman. I have Witcher 3 and put a little time into it, but fell off it.
Honourable mentions for Rime and Firewatch. Rime in particular.
