Are they sure it's a horse and not a... drugs mule? That horse is a born winner. A natural athlete. And who's to say he's not allowed to let loose once in a while and enjoy the fruits of his success?

Mornin'
Death Stranding eh? What's that all about then? Looked good though. Whatever it is. I also liked the look of Ghosts Of Tsushima and Control. I probably won't buy any of them .
So far the only games from E3 I'll pick up are Battlefield V and The Division 2 I think. My son wants RDR2 so probably that too.
How come Trump's attempt at a thoughtful, intelligent, Presidential face just makes me think of Zoolander?

apparently AC is doing an Odyssey version.....interesting. Haven't checked some of the historical forums I sometimes frequent but I sense one which deals with this specific era is going to lose it's shit a tad when there's a wrongly placed ridge or piece of kit... Isn't the Odyssey pure mythology set in a made-up distant past anyway? If so, how can any of its minor background details be verifiably wrong? If that is indeed the case, I'd like to see the AC lads stick in some proper anachronisms (wrong-side gladius, potatoes in the background, Trojans driving Ford Capris) and take the fight to the history nerds.

Health Blog: Day 12 of no booze. I feel terrible. Is it your intention to carry on this booze free existence throughout the World Cup? Good god no. I'll be attending a WC bbq on Saturday and drinking ALL of the drinks.

You come on in here with your common sense.... Well, there are those who place the event in 12th century BC Greece and those who state that it's set then but imagined with 7th century contemporary weapons etc. Point being is if they have Odysseus jumping around with kit which came into use much later on then they won't be happy. It's one of the wider debates about Homer and how he sets out battles, does he position them as accurate from what he knows of that period or with the accuracy of his times? Imagine a new episode of Sharpe and if featuring him in a tank with the wrong wheels, and multiply it by the spins Amipal's head undergoes. It's serious stuff.

You might be on to something there, a gritty updating of Sharpe (still played by Sean Bean) in modern day Spain, still fighting the French, but with all modern weapons.

Too right, Homer already fucked the Odyssey up with anachronisms. 8th century BCE burial practices in the 12th century BCE? Widespread use of 8th century iron weapons? Painted iron shields? Gimme a fucking break. Polyphemus, Circe and the Sirens I'm cool with. That all seems sufficiently plausible.

my favourite Troy Fall of a City complaint was that the cattle in several shots weren't from that region/time and this ruined it for them Some people take cattle very seriously. My late father-in-law was a cattle nerd. I don't know how much this spoilt historical drama for him, but he complained about the actual cows in the field not being the right regional variety.

That Homer was a piece of work, or would have been if he wasn't made up. If he was alive today he'd probably be running Ubisoft.

If the scene with Circe features the aforementioned serving a cassoulet to Odysseus' men it'll all go down.

Shall we do Star Wars or Lord of the Rings inaccuracies next? Well I did mention how the Last Jedi had gravity working in space when the dreadnought was destroyed by those falling bombs...

Salad with houmous/hummus, chicken, pitta bread. Pickled onion crisps.
Need to go to Tesco and pick up beers as part of my brother in law's birthday present. What could possibly go wrong.
