hi I purchased a coat … On balance I like it, but … I got it home and discovered there was a panel stitched inside it with a load of guff in French, outlining the hypothetical qualities of a man who would buy such a coat. I suppose I should have been suspicious it had 40 percent off in the sale. What were the hypothetical qualities?

I saw the Smashing Pumpkins once, at Wembley Arena in 2000. They didn't seem like their hearts were in it, and Billy Corgan kept spitting into the crowd. 4 stars.

Making a vat of Bolognese/Ragu. Wee glass of vino while it bubbles away.
Also, some very annoying online time trials in Gran Turismo.
Hulk smash things.

Lyrique, gentil, me’chant …There’s another two paragraphs of that. Bonkers Brussels Bureaucrats in the pocket of Big Coat, trying to sabotage the Will of The People. What's wrong with a nice Barbour wax jacket, or a Mackintosh?

I'm off to see Smashing Pumpkins and Weezer in the summer. Hopefully they will both concentrate on their early stuff. Cold out, real nip to the wind. I'm considering that. I don't like the o2 as a venue though. I suppose if I want to see them it's either there or....the North I'm seeing them in Birmingham.

Star Trek is on telly. Good stuff. The crew of the Starship Enterprise have found themselves on a planet where an alien has devised a terrible doom. They’ve been put in a recreation of the town of Tombstone. James Kirk might have to fight Wyatt Earp.

Only an hour of work left, how are normally people's Sundays? I can't speak for others here, but my Sundays are work-free. As are my Mondays to Saturdays.

Are we being accused of being 'normal people'?

Only an hour of work left, how are normally people's Sundays? I worked yesterday, but not today. First work-free day this year, and second work-free day since the start of the school Christmas holidays. However, I'm a broken pathetic husk of a man, so I don't actually like not working, and can't do anything other than sleep or drink. Oh, also, I did the VAT Return* and adjusted some prices. So not quite totally work-free. *Or, as I like to think of it, the Drunk VAT Return.

We're all normal, this place is just for our alter egos, which the world should be truly thankful.

I also just watched a programme about eastern lowland gorillas. Pretty good. Then I ate two chocolate eclairs - my third and fourth of the day.
I’ve got a headache. I think I’m feeling tense.

I watched the BBC2 documentary about Gorillas. Thought it was tremendous.
Stand tall and face down a charging 250kg Silverback? Fuck that.
4 chest beats. Would recommend.

I've got the GCH on, Mrs T went to bed a while ago coughing like she's got TB.
Senile cat keeps trying to wake her up for attention.
No Gorillaz.
