I’m back at work! An absolute joy to be back in the office… urgh.
6am starts can do one.
Amigablog: hardware issues have pushed back what was going to be an early-2024 YouTube episode. For shame.
TVblog: my new favourite thing is For All Mankind. Got the first series at Christmas.
Also got the Prime email to say they’d be adding adverts to programmes because, apparently, they can’t afford to make content. Well, you know what? Jeff’s got deep pockets - go and bother him.

pork-belly strips have been rubbed with oil and some of the Lebanese spices I got for crimbo. Now in slow cooker for 6 hours with an onion, plus a little soy sauce and chicken stock for steamage. Will bung them in the oven to blast for the last 30 mins to hopefully make crispy crackling, and serve with rice and a melange of roasted vegetables.
This domestic turn has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that I’m meant to be outside up a ladder taking down the Xmas lights from the gutter, in a freezing wind while it’s trying to snow.
