Hello you.
Last night, Netflix decided to freeze on the telly. Force-closing the app didn’t fix it, clearing caches didn’t fix it, unplugging the telly didn’t fix it. So just ended up watching YouTube for the duration.
Dinnerblog: okinamiyaki. Added more mushrooms and beansprouts than usual, and also managed to get most of the pancakes nice and crisp. Lovely stuff.

I spent the first half of the night shivering uncontrollably, then the second half sweating and too hot.
I have not slept and have calls most of the day.

Anybody here got a Ring doorbell and know if it’s worth signing up for the subscription?

I've got some snake oil if you want it? I'll do you a good deal

Monthly subscription. 2400 month contract. No cancellation; no refunds

So, for a monthly fee it tells you if someone's ringing your doorbell?

A subscription for a doorbell? You get video storage and other things included with it Apparently it's a waste of time without the subscription. But couldn't you just hook up a raspberry pi or something? Seems daft to regularly send money to a company for this.

If only regular doorbells had some way of letting you know someone was ringing them

Our local gazette regularly reports hoodlums trying to break into houses and cars with the doorbell camera catching it all.

The road we live on is quite narrow, and Preferred Mammal is in an almost constant state of anxiety that someone will hit our car parked on the road. The doorbell is a way to try and combat that.

If only regular doorbells had some way of letting you know someone was ringing them Tbf, if you could check your doorbell and know it was someone you didn’t want to speak to (Mother in law, local MP, police etc) wouldn’t you like to be forewarned?

A doorbell won't stop Tiddles ramming in to your car. we park as far in as we can, unfortunately neighbour opposite, despite having a two car drive, is a lazy cunt who parks as far out into the road as he can, creating a narrow space for Amazon and DPD drivers to hurtle through.
