The Train to work is off.
It's rail replacement as they've been working on the line. Rail replacement bus from Paisley. Fuck that.
Went for a coach. Th bus stop is out of order.
Sign on bus stop. "Due to road works this stop is out of order, use the next stop on Waterloo St"
Ok, goes to next bus stop. The 15 min late bus doesn't stop. I'm raging. Next bus comes, I flag him down. He doesn't stop but signals to go to next stop further up the street. Runs to that and gets bus. Apparently the next stop is two stops away, not the next stop. Fucks. Sake.
I could have stayed in bed another 40 mins and still been on this bus.

Home made BLT sub using half a tiger baguette. Full fat mayo and all the black pepper. Might have a snooze while it settles.
Uninstalled and reinstalled my GFX drivers, which seems to have fixed my game launching issues. Woot! This has also meant I’m way behind with the chores I’m meant to be doing.

Moulin Rouge was great, if you like Jukebox musicals this is the ultimate as it doesn't stick with one artist.
Also the staging and dancing are wonderful. 4*

I am in big London. In a caffe Nero near the BM. I have realised there is a non-zero possibility it is a branch occasionally haunted by Lazybones.
I have been to the BL exhibition. It was quite good. Could have been bigger. I am going full Scamander shortly. Visiting the Roman Legion thing at the British Museun.

Teains. I remembered why i don't often get the train. My 9.00am train to Lichfield TV was 10 mins late at 9.01. Then it flashed up 25 minutes late. At this point i decided to drive to Trent Valley. As i was not going to get the 9.49 if i waited for the local train.
Arrived at Lichfield by 9.30 but it took a few minutes to park. So i got in at 9.40. To see the first train had been cancelled anyway. On balance driving to Lichfield is probably a tiny bit more convenient anyway. But i had wanted to get the train.
The 9.49 was a bit late, but gone in to Euston only about 5 mins late.

Best.Train.Story evah. 4* It's a bit crap that of 2 trains one was cancelled and the other late. On two of the busier lines in the UK. I'd like to use the train more often. I don't mind that it is a bit slower and no cheaper than driving. |
