I finished Deadwood. I was disappointed with it, I felt like it was leading to an epic showdown but it didn't. Did Bullock even fire his gun after the first episode?
All a bit a "meh" with overly flowery language and that Worm Tongue actor and Logan Roy guy would always over act and spoil every scene they were in.
Lovejoy was excellent though, he held the whole thing together.

It can be very disorientating and you have to adjust your 'down is up' 360 degree mind set.
From the "Space is Big" HHGTTG quote it is a very big game, it is a simulation of the whole galaxy based on NASA and Astrophysics research/sciencey stuff and gives you full access after the initial startup and tutorials.. Just in case you weren't aware you don't have to shoot people! Cargo runs, data runs, exploration and bio data can be just as fun and putting a first footfall and discovering new systems is one of the reasons I play.

ED, I have heard it can be disorienting, chuckle.
Dream chat: I had a dream last night that my daughter was a cat and she was fighting a fox, I was encouraging her to win but the fox hurt her too badly and she ran to me upset, then I picked up the fox and broke its neck, almost twisted its head right off.
I think it means Ive been to pushy about getting good exam results or something, and I should protect her from the teen stress, or something.

apologies lazy I was just checking with google, it seems you can I think for keyboard controls it's a key bind change on start up for ps4/5 it should be in flight control options from your main set up option screen, I'm still looking for a more concise reply for you and will post it as soon as I have some data. edit, also reddit for elite dangerous might have some info.

Steamcommunity.com Options --> Controls Configuration --> Find I believe it is "Flight Rotation" and open that group. Should be one of the top options in the list. Go down until you find "Pitch" which should have the stick mapped to it in one box and next to it a box will say "regular" or "inverted." Click on that box to change it.

Ah Elite on the BBC Micro. Back when the license fee was worth paying.
It seems like ED works on the SD so I might try it later. Is it multiplier? I think I might also own it on the PS4 but its all a bit hazy.
Ten years old. Amazing what you can do with time these days.

Dreams? I had one last night in which I was dead, and walked past my own skeleton. It had a pointy chin and a goatee, like Jimmy Hill.

The game from day one is over 40 years old but it has been rebuilt and revitalised quite a few times since. (FYI Drew Wagar on YT has a great run down on the game and he was a writer on story plots).

Heading home on a half day. The pm is working late and I need to be home for the child getting in from school. No lunch as the shop on the way to the station is manned by eejits and didn't have time to purchase a filled roll. Quite fucking peckish tbh. Which doesn't bode well for passing Pret in the Central Station. £1.75 for a cheese roll v's about £8 in pret. Was also going to make an ED joke but Sandy beat me to it. One for amipal really. We were recording some folk this morning which is why I had to go in. The Sony zv-1 cameras we have are absolutely outstanding. Really clear footage and just on 1080. Four stars.

I played Elite Dangerous at lunchtime. Although … one of the tutorials is broken. The very first one. You go into basic flight training and two minutes in the trainer leaves and the ship stops working.

Very odd, if it's 'can't enter hanger' then log out and back in you should be in there, there was a bug back in 2021.

I went into the second tutorial and it was ok. I’m hoping the game will allow me to fly to the black hole at the heart of the galaxy. Maybe I will be able to land on ‘Earth’ and get into scrapes with at least one biker gang in an American diner.

I went into the second tutorial and it was ok. I’m hoping the game will allow me to fly to the black hole at the heart of the galaxy. Maybe I will be able to land on ‘Earth’ and get into scrapes with at least one biker gang in an American diner. The planets that have a solid 'ring' of blue can't be landed on (earth etc) the ones with a 2/3rds ring can be though you should check the gravity of the planet/moon first, typically up to 0.45G or 0.48G are ok 1G + are earth like gravity worlds and 2-4+ are harder. I have landed on a 2.8G and I was using vertical thrusters most of the time for landing, scary stuff. Take off was much the same lots of boost and thrust*. I did read recently on Reddit that someone survived a 45G landing. You can see if it is landable in your left panel in the system body list, the gravity is on the hub in front of you (bottom centre right?) below the coordinates. Sol is fairly closed off as far as IRL except for certain sites with stations, also be careful when star jumping as some are double or triple stars. K *edit; angle yourself at 90 degrees as best you can it helps.
