I’ve met JimBob78 too. I liked his Chatterbox 1.0 content. I met him once and didn’t really talk to him but a friend of mine who was with me (non-Chatterbox) described him as being like a sarcastic nerd doing a Charlie Brooker impression.

Sheep saying the quiet part out loud about the 'Box. That is not actually true. I have met a significant proportion of the people from the Gamesblog going right back to 2009. There were a few who tend to be a bit too geeky, mostly not in a techbro way. I think they matured as well for the most part or disappeared. The rest were all pretty normal people for the most part. The male/female ratio is a bit too boys club. Though there were usually more women on the nights. There were only a couple I thought were actively 100% pricks. Mostly Jimbob78. There's a lot of qualifications in this statement. I've never had the honour of meeting any of the 'Box irl, so I go by the persona they present here and on the whole, all things considered and in the light of the day they're alright. Do not quote me from previous posts when I said you're all wonderful/sweet/considerate/and all the other emotional bullshit because alcohol would have been involved so doesn't count, probably.

I'd say most of the people are more rounded individuals (as people, not fatter) than the way they present online. Not massively different, but online people tended to present as gaming nerds who are bored at their office jobs. Mostly it was a cross section of graduate office workers between 21-50ish, but now 30ish to 70ish.

Anyone use ShopTo? I bought £90 of PSN money for £76.29. But it applied 20% discount at checkout. So it cost £61. No idea why, but this makes PSN a bargain at the moment. I can get Dragon's Dogma 2 for £40/47. Obviously i will actually spend 3 times as much as a consequence.

It's a real mystery why there aren't more (any) female Chatterboxers.

Baby, apparently, advocating bringing back the Scold's bridle.
A big misogynist move, I look forward to his PUA book.

Hello
I seem to have developed a boil on my hip. The waistband of my jeans and my belt keep rubbing against it - fucking painful. Apparently I need to use a warm damp cloth as a compress for ten minutes, four times a day.
Awkward, given its position. Could be worse I suppose.
Now if you'll excuse me....* unfastens belt and lowers keks *

I first read that as Kato and wondered why Burt Kwouk was growing on Destry's hip.

Evening
Eldest (year 10) is off to Barcelona in a few days, for a week, as part of GCSE Spanish trip with school. Therefore, the PM is having a total meltdown. My "well she'll probably be off to uni in a few years so get used to it" didn't help.

Then at least I'd have an idea of how old people were. Apparently it's 4th/5th year? Do they still have 6th Forms? Also please don't ascribe this confusion to anything sexual.

Yeah, I still call it 4th year in my head, but thought I'd use the new description. Next year is GCSE exam year. No idea why it changed. Some schools have 6th forms, but ours doesn't. I don't know for sure, but I'd say more don't than do. But then their are 6th form colleges too. The college I went to near in the early 90s was demolished and is now another identikit retail park.
