Hello! I've been to see Hamilton tonight. Sadly it was the musical rather than a shitey 3rd tier Scottish football match but you can't have everything. 4 stars, would recommend.

Do you like granola / crunchy muesli?
I’m thinking of making my own (again).
What is the optimum granola mix? So far I’m thinking:
Oats
Macadamia nuts
Pecan nuts
Raisins
Maple syrup
I mean I could, maybe should, get local nuts and binding agent. Cut down air miles with the great British hazelnut and walnut. I like the taste of the ones above though. I wouldn’t be adverse to some dried papaya either.

On the trains.
Absolutely chucking it down.
The 07.39 to town was the only one running. The three before it and two after all cancelled. Last chopper out of Saigon.
I had an empty last night. Was late home though. And late to bed.
I have managed to get up, sort lunch for myself, get my oats (easy Tuffers) ready and be on time. A miracle.
I should probably have had a shave though and I'm hobo-esque.
No games.
TV. This Town. I'm enjoying it.

Do you mix that all up and bake it then break it up? Some of that crumbled on the overnight oats or porridge sounds good.

I think that’s the idea. My dad used to make oaty flapjacks in a similar fashion. It was pretty straightforward from what I remember.
I’ve seen granola recipes that also include oil and salt. I’m not sure what part the oil plays, but why not?

I make flapjacks with oats, brown mashed banana, honey and peanut butter which is baked. Chuck in raisins and seeds. Similar

When you mix it with the porridge oats etc it just melts into the product and you get the taste, not the texture.
