A triumph for blind nostalgia and a yearning for a mythic 'Golden age' over a pragmatic and sound status quo. I think it’s more to do with looking vaguely like something you could legitimately have on your screen at work. Absolutely. For a more business like look you can even turn off avatars under Profile/Edit Profile/Settings. You can also select different Themes from there.

Felice! Do your Diplomacy moves, you sack. I thought it started on Thursday, don't know the rules yet and already being bullied by diplomats. ****Ah I see. The game starts as soon as it gets enough players. The turns aren't strictly 24 hours - it ticks over as soon as everyone is ready but will tick over automatically after 24 hours.

Beeblebrox, for an avatar picture do you need to be logged on as a member rather than a guest?

How do I get the smooth slick layout for telephonic viewing with quotes in boxes and everything, pre log in, rather than the muddy green I've got after log in ? I'm not sure what you're seeing. I get the same layout on mobile logged in or as a guest. And it's not muddy green. EDIT: I have added the Default theme to the drop down box under Profile/Edit Profile/Settings. Try selecting Desktop view and then selecting the Default theme. And don't forget to save your settings

Morning, exciting times yesterday as the Virgin broadband engineer guy brought and installed the latest super hub thing in my house. The Wi-Fi is now emanating strongly throughout my entire abode. Then spent about 4 hours in Wardor mooching about on a huge murder spree, I almost understand some of what I'm supposed to be doing with the Army part of it, but just to be sure I'm cleansing the entire map of icons before I make my assault on the enemy base.

Morning,
Last night I completed Uncharted 4. I say completed. Finished the story. Still got a few things to collect but I'll not bother going back. It's enjoyable but perhaps too much hand holding even for someone as feeble as me.
I then shoved on Battlefield 4 for a bit. Siege of Shanghai heavy rotation server. All good fun. Being an engineer, fixing tanks and choppers.
Watched the latest Mr Robot and one of the new Brooklyn nine nine.
I may now install fallout 4. I am doomed.

Happy Hump Day
Games (video): None Games (Board): 3 games of Shadespire last night. First two games I played Stormcast and game 1 I smashed my opponents face in, second game felt closer but again a smashing at final scoring. The third game we swapped opponents and I don't think I rolled a single hit or dodge the entire game. None of my objectives were achievable, I drew nothing but upgrade power cards and everyone was dead by mid way turn 2. I got my brains kicked in. ★★★★
Other things that matter: The new guy, aka The Rat, is on a training course for the rest of the week. Small mercies etc.

Morning.
Games: none.
Other: there's a guy visiting my office, who usually works at a different location, who has a loud Butthead like laugh and seems to find everything amusing.
So do I grin and bear it or tell him to STFU?

Call this a morning? Turned up to my 9am meeting only to discover the meeting is actually taking place in another office over an hour away. I could probably have passed it off as an innocent mistake, if I didn't have form for doing this previously.
No games

Faceless, Melvazord says you are meant to be on a training course, not annoying Big G with your laugh in the wrong office.

THE GREAT CORNHOLIO
Opeth were superb. Really rather good. Best death-prog Sir Francis Drake impressionist out there? I reckon. All the stars.

I bet you would get on with the new guy if you gave him a chance. Why don't you both grab a latte sometime or failing that just straight up hug it out?

Morning,
Zero time for games last night. After boxing class I had to parcel up my Wii U to post to eBay. The funds are being used to purchase a leather jacket to distract from the fact that I can't grow a beard. I'll let you know if that works out...
In more disconcerting news, some guy I didn't recognise gave me the raised eyebrow greeting on the way to work. Does he know me and I've forgotten him or is he overly friendly to strangers? I'll be mulling this one over all day.

Morning, After boxing class Don't you just punch the person in front of you? The bag fights back just enough for my liking, I have few enough faculties as it is without actively seeking brain damage.

The Giant Bomb review was similarly dismissive of the game. Hopefully this ends up being the catalyst for change.
