Budget day! How much are they sticking beer up by this time? It doesn't matter. The price will drop once we get all that money back from the EU. £350mil per day just to build new breweries

Ive been in pre-mod since yesterday, but they were obviously checking because they did let anything ultra bland through. But then today I tried to post 'Crocodile Dugdee for the win' on the Kezia Dugdale article which they wouldnt allow, so I sent them a message calling them a bunch of pathetic po faced killjoys and 10 mins later they had published my original post. You just have to let them know who is boss *brushes off shoulders*

TenthEnemyHow do you know it was only one moderator? It was clear that 'off topic' posts were being removed. It is quite common for the moderator(s) to take a closer look at comments on an article once it attracts their attention. Some of the comments I saw that were removed looked like teasing the moderators. The G reacts really badly to that. It always has done. It's the quickest way to get put on the naughty step. What the moderator saw was that once a few irrelevant comments were removed a load of people piled in to cause further trouble. And moved from article to article to do so. I know they completely misunderstood the situation, but I can see why they escalated once they had started. It was clearly going to end badly. I don't know that for certain. But I'm working on the assumption that they are only employing one moderator at a time on a number of articles. We first felt this moderator's heavy handed approach a few weeks ago when one morning hardly any comments would make it onto the page. This was at the time when the allegations against Kevin Spacey emerged, and this had briefy been the topic of discussion in the "Chatterbox" the day before, approved by the moderator on duty. The next day all of this was deleted and I started having trouble reporting on my TV viewing the previous night which happened to be by sheer coincidence House of Cards (and previous mention of this from before the allegations emerged have meanwhile been deleted from my comment history). Bizarrely, any reference to Harvey Weinstein did not suffer the same fate. Once the moderator had ended their shift in the afternoon the usual chatter was getting through. This pattern repeated itself. There might be now more than one, but it is clear that not all mods are singing from the same hymn sheet, as there is no explanation why comments that have passed premod would be deleted later on. As Socky has alreay pointed out previously, the situation escalated in the way you described it, but it was compounded by the fact that the games section was slowly shutting down as there were no plans to replace Keef.

Hi all, long time lurker. On the subject of getting modded, it appears that after a few Friday night drinks, and faced with a long and boring train journey, the injustice of the Chatterboxer's plight finally managed to lure me out into the open. I have a rather foggy memory of doing this, and I'm not hugely proud* as it's ultimately a very unhelpful comment, but I left the following comment on the Pokémon review: "My favourite Pokémon (in no particular order, and not including Pikachu, obvs) are: Bulbasaur Rattata Igglypuff Nidoran Golbat Bellsprout Alakazam Corsola Kadabra Cloyster Hypno Articuno Trubbish Tirtouga Empoleon Raticate Beedrill Oddish Xatu Yanma Oshawott Ursaring Tentacruel Weezing Anorith Terrakion Sawsbuck" It's still up the last I checked. So it seems that FRANK may not like you questioning his methods, but he doesn't bother reading acrostics. *I am maybe a bit proud. I mean, it took effing aaages! Hah, I missed that the first time round. Solid work. Of course, now you've brought attention to it it'll mysteriously disappear.

Hi
Last night I watched Red 2. I hadn't seen Red 1 or even knew of its existence. 4 stars would be a stretch.

Blues have obtained 1 (one) point in total away from home this season, scoring 3 goals in total. We have a dreadful record at the Riverside. Proper bad.
You'd have to be a complete idiot to go there tonight.

If you have time to watch films when you get back after the pub then you've left the pub too early. Or been barred.
Top 5 reasons to get barred:
1) Relentless jokes 2) Lines in the toilet 3) Fighting 4) So drunk you are breaking stuff 5) Getting your todger out at the bar

Are you all lying to me?

True Grit (John Wayne version) A combination of films that I saw on TV after a heavy session, subsequently bought and will watch after a night out and others that I’ll watch after a night out (in no particular order).
