I've never played Diplomacy. From what I've read on here and the old chatterbox it doesn't sound fun at all. How long does it last? Do you need to be available at all times? Can you play it on a phone? Where did we come from? Where are we going? It isn't fun at all. It lasts fucking ages. Weeks at least. Yes you need to be available at all times, and you will be hassled and berated relentlessly. Yes you can play on your phone. We came from the manifestations of the warped psyche of the only one of us that is real, but none of us know which of us is the real one. We are all hurtling towards the abyss. They probably usually take around 25 to 35 turns, including builds and retreats, but can take longer. A turn will take anywhere between 5 minutes and a couple of days, depending on the settings and the players' willingness to move faster. No, you do not need to be available at all times, but at least some engagement during each turn is required. Yes, you can play on a phone. We came from Europe in 1901. We're going to the dominant Great Turkish Empire in 1910. |

Only play Dip with people you don't like or if you don't know them assume they're a C word.
